The holiday house offers its guests the opportunity to spend their Lake Maggiore vacation surrounded by greenery. There is a shared garden and a communal pool to which guests have access during their stay. There is a covered terrace too, where guests can dine while enjoying the natural views. Inside the townhouse, a lovely living room awaits the guests. It has pleasant décor and a relaxing ambience. There is a dedicated sitting area with books and a TV to keep the guests company. There is also a cute section where guests can dine indoors. The kitchen is separate and equipped with a cooker hob, an oven, a small fridge, a washing machine and a toaster. The kitchen has a door to the outdoors, making it all the more pleasant to prepare homemade meals. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The beautiful bedroom with en-suite facility has a king-size double bed, an armchair and a wardrobe. Bedroom 2: The lovely room has a selection of books, a pair of single beds that can be joined and a wardrobe. Bedroom 3: The sunny room has a single bed, a work desk and a wardrobe. The beautiful commune of Gignese is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the various attractions near Lake Maggiore. The spectacular Alpinia Botanical Garden (7 minutes) that overlooks the serene lake is like a natural balcony from where one can admire the panoramic view of the landscape. Gignese is especially known for being home to a number of chapels and shrines. It is a perfect base to explore the various destinations such as Stresa, the Borromean Islands, Belgirate, Lesa and others. The nearest restaurant to the holiday house is only a kilometre away. The lake, shops, and the supermarket are about 6 kilometres or less than 10 minutes’ drive from here. Die Bewertung der Lage hängt von der Urlaubsplanung ab. 6 km Serpentinenstraße mit herrlicher Aussicht trennen die im Dorf Vezzo gelegene Ferienwohnanlage aus architektonisch einfallsreich gestalteten Reihenhäusern von der Stadt Stresa, wo sich in einer mit dem Auto nicht zugänglichen Gasse die Agentur befindet, in der die Hausschlüssel aus einem Safe an der Hauswand entnommen und wieder deponiert werden können. Mit etwa 4 Autominuten deutlich näher liegt der Ort Gignese, in dem bei einem guten Bäcker und einem kleiner Supermarkt der täglichen Bedarf gekauft werden kann. Das Haus ist geschickt geschnitten mit im Erdgeschoss einem großzügigen Wohn-Essbereich, einem kleinen WC mit einer kleinen Waschmaschine und einer allerdings sehr kleinen Küche mit Herd, Backofen und Geschirrspülmaschine. Wer hier wirklich für 5 Personen kochen möchte, muss zur Vorbereitung in den Essbereich ausweichen. Es wäre alles Geschirr und Gerät dafür vorhanden, was benötigt wird und auch einiges, was nicht benötigt wird. Hierin liegt (Stand 9/2022) ein genereller Kritikpunkt: Die Töpfe sind wild zusammengewürfelt, die Henkel wackeln und vieles wirkt, als hätten die Besitzer es in das Ferienhaus entsorgt. Dies gilt auch von der übrigen Einrichtung: Der Gartentisch wackelt in sich so, dass man keine Salami darauf schneiden kann, ohne dass die Kaffeetassen überschwappen, aus dem großen Essklapptisch stehen lose Schrauben hervor, die Stühle sind zusammengewürfelt, Schränke und Schubladen sind teilweise vollgestopft mit Material, dass der Urlauber sicher nicht benötigt. Hier könnte mit geringem Aufwand Abhilfe geschaffen werden! Im Obergeschoss mit zwei Doppelzimmern (eines davon mit eigenem Bad), einem Einzelzimmer und einem Duschbad für die restlichen Zimmer bot sich das gleiche Bild. Im Kleiderschrank des einen Doppelzimmers gab es lediglich eine Kleiderstange - alle Fächer für liegende Kleider waren schon belegt. Hier müsste einfach nur mal aufgeräumt werden! Alle Bäder waren top renoviert, aber ein Badfenster klemmt ebenso wie die Eingangstür. Ein großer Pluspunkt der Unterkunft ist der riesige, hervorragend gepflegte Pool der Anlage, der immer genug Platz für ambitionierte Schwimmer bot. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur der Vermieter war unkompliziert über Telefon (auf Englisch und Italienisch) und WhatsApp. Als bei einem nächtlichen Blitzschlag der Strom ausfiel, zeigte der Hausmeister sofort die Sicherungen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt trotz der Kritikpunkte sehr genossen! ##### Rafael K.
