"We had a beautifully updated room with a view of the harbour. The interior layout is slightly odd, you have to take a small elevator in order to get luggage up a few steps in the lobby. The lobby was very crowded with people and luggage at all times—probably cruisers; but it’s a great place. Friendly staff. Would love to stay here again and I recommend it highly."

Cozy Upscale Getaway - Fantastic Location

"Enjoyed our two-night stay at Rae's place. It's a cute suite with unique décor in a lovely rural setting that's still conveniently close to shopping, restaurants, and the ocean. Rae lives upstairs and was quick to respond if we had questions. When we mentioned we'd be using the BBQ one evening, he even preheated it for us.A few things that may be helpful for future guests to know: the suite has a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen. Rae has equipped it well with a variety of appliances, making it possible to prepare meals if you wish. There are two countertop convection hot plates instead of a full stove, and while the counter space is limited, we found it workable.The large shower has lots of different spray options - we didn't get a chance to try the steam feature. Hand soap and dish soap were provided, but you'll want to bring your own shampoo.The bed is very soft, so guests who prefer or require a firmer mattress for back support may want to keep that in mind. The sofa cushions are also on the softer side.As this is a lower-level suite, you'll occasionally hear footsteps, music, or conversation from upstairs. That said, Rae was conscientious about any noise when he knew we were there and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns.Parking wasn't immediately obvious to us, but Rae quickly clarified it. You park lengthwise beside the portable shelter rather than perpendicular to it, as we initially did upon arrival. We enjoyed our getaway."
