Stayed with Lorraine for just under a week—what a beautiful place with an incredible view! The home was outstanding, comfortable, and welcoming. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
LOVED our time here! Will be coming back! It is in a great location, you can walk to shops, restaurants and beaches. Love the outdoor area and how well curated the décor was!
Lorraine’s place was perfect—clean, cozy, and exactly as described. She was a thoughtful and responsive host, making sure we had everything we needed. The home had great touches that made us feel welcome, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Thank you, Lorraine!
Such a cozy place to land after a day of exploring the Sunshine Coast. The hot tub and patio offered a lovely private outdoor space. The kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed and the loft bed was very comfy. Overall a perfect getaway!
Host was so friendly and welcoming. Great location, short walk to town with many shops and restaurants. Very close to the beach. It was private and relaxing getaway.
For those that like funky, and cozy little bungaloos, this spot is for you. Great for a couples getaway weekend. Lorraine and Casey are gracious thoughtful hosts. We didn't need a thing. Wondeful location to lower Gibsons to boot.
A lot of love has gone into making this cozy property welcoming and an enjoyable place to stay. The hosts are extremely welcoming, the hot tub and small courtyard are lovely luxuries at the end of the day, and the interior decorating is unique and charming. It's an easily walkable distance from the water and town, which is a bonus. The only two drawbacks are that there isn't a lot of natural light inside (which isn't really an issue if you're out for the day), and the bed-loft is only accessible by very steep ladder-stairs. That said, the bed itself is extremely comfortable, and we slept very well.
Funky, Quirky, Esoteric, Eclectic vibe...all in the
most positive sense. Lorraine is the lovely creator of this unique property, and her vibrant personality is reflected the Seas the Day suite.
The property description is accurate...sleeping loft is not easy access...but it is very comfortable.
I would be a return visitor in a heartbeat....too bad I live in the UK!
The online description of this property is quite accurate. You will be greeted by Lorraine, a gregarious and welcoming host who will make you feel like family; she will ensure that you know how everything works and is ready to respond quickly to any unforeseen needs or requests. The property has been thoughtfully curated with a great outdoor space complete with solar lights, bbq, and hot tub. It’s a cozy getaway for two with a well kitted out tiny kitchen (no conventional oven but a convection oven and hot plate as pictured) that will allow you to do some eating at home if you are resisting the urge to dine out at the many great restaurants which are a very short walk away. Note that some places are closed Mondays if you are on a short trip. overall, a lovely getaway with a warm host who wants you to truly enjoy your stay in Gibsons, a true paradise on Earth.
It was perfectly what we needed. A cozy, quiet, and fun cabin vibes. It was near everything. The hosts are amazing kind people. Kitchen has everything you would need. We made 2 full dishes. 100% would recommend.
The owner checked in with us once we were settled to provide local information and welcome us. His name is Casey and we introduced him to our dog who's name is also Casey. The location couldnt be any better. Everything you need is in this home. I brought my coffee bean grinder, beans and french press but they already had all that! Unique and enjoyable experience!
A friend and I came to the Sunshine Coast for a couple of nights and enjoyed our time. The property has everything you need for a pleasant stay (including a hot tub!), is close to restaurants and beaches, and the hosts are super friendly and helpful
Two days before our stay we were notified that we were being moved to a different rental which apparently was an upgrade.
What was not clear in the photo was the lack of space above the mattress (double) on the floor(no “bed”) and the ceiling. Not high enough to sit up while on the bed and have to bum scoot to the end and climb down a very precarious ladder. We both nearly hurt ourselves on it (super slippery) and we are pretty fit.
It was heated using space heaters and while on, cannot use the hot plate, toaster oven or coffee maker or kettle. We were constantly tripping breakers and as such took 1.5h to fry some bacon making us late for our next activity of the day.
I can’t comment about using the hot tub because it had a very, very strong chlorine smell and a green tint to the water so we opted to stay out of it.
The host did their best on the first day by changing out our very musty smelling towels (the scent was noticeable in the entire bathroom) and the second day took them about an a hour in the morning to restore power, however my wife was overall not impressed with the property and spoke to the host and they threatened to call the police and told us to get off the property hours before checkout time.
Not considering all the things listed above we still felt like we were duped for our romantic weekend and this stay was not worth what we paid. We stay on the coast a few times a year and there are for sure better places to stay in this price range.
We’re proud repeat offenders — and for good reason! From the breathtaking views to the top-notch amenities, every detail of this VRBO is perfection. And Lorraine? Truly the host with the mostest. We can't recommend this place enough!
A great find! Felt like home, hostess Lorraine was most welcoming. Everything we needed was right there. Great location. Lorraine had great suggestions for dining, touring, and shopping. We can't wait to go back!!
Perfect location; walkable to all amenities. Easy parking. Large washroom and ample kitchen. Both were stocked with everything we could need. One note would be that it’s not a full bedroom; it’s a lofted space with no door or solid walls. It did have a lovely, very comfortable bed. The hosts were gracious and met us on arrival. They provided great recommendations of the local area. They are truly passionate about their community.
Excellent location... walking distance to everything. Host was very sweet and personable and her place is very cozy. The 3 little dogs that greeted us were a very sweet welcoming committee! We will stay there again when we visit Gibson’s.
