A jewel of a cozy cottage on the stream

A lovely and convenient location for this historic house with modern comforts. The back porch sits along a stream and there are two other outdoor sitting areas to relax and enjoy the wonderful nature show. Your view will include bluebirds playing the in the trees and fantastic mountain views. The walk to the main street of town is in the 100s of feet!

This two bedroom home was built in the late 1800s so has all the character of a historic home but the convenience of a kitchen and bathroom that were updated in 2018.

Your creature comforts include two adorable bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Each room has independent heating and can be adjusted for your personal preference. A cute bathroom with a soaking tub and all the amenities to relax and enjoy after a great day of skiing, hiking, riding, walking or whatever! (It is your vacation!)
A cozy living/dining area with very comfortable furniture to relax, play games, or watch television.
A nice fully equipped and updated kitchen with soft close cabinets, appliances, washer dryer.

The drive to the nearest ski area, Loveland, is 11 miles. You feel a million miles from the city and can relax in this location while being about an hour from Denver.

The shower is in the clawfoot bathtub; a consideration if anyone in your party has a challenge stepping up.

In the summer you can open the windows a little and relax to the sound of the water running in the stream.

This is one of my favorite places to be and I hope it will be yours too.

Beautiful Stay in Georgetown

We absolutely adored the house. It was perfect and just a few minutes walk into town to see all of the shops and Christmas Market festivities!

Cozy well equiped cottage

My husband and I booked this cottage for a weekend getaway from Denver. We have dietary restriction that makes it very difficult to eat out at most restaurants. This home had everything we needed to prepare and cook most of our meals. We also saw so much wildlife just in few days. Will definitely book here again.

Great stay in downtown

This was my 2nd time staying in Georgetown, and this cottage and location were wonderful! The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked, beds are incredibly comfortable, and the patio by the creek outside are beautiful. The cottage has all the charm (and quirks) of a historic house. I would love to stay here again!

Charming cottage by the stream

I’ve stayed here before & ALWAYS breathe a sigh of relief when I 1st get out of the car & hear that beautiful calming water! The home is simply charming & relaxing…nothing fancy but that is what makes it unique. I had 1 question over the tv connection & it was responded to right away!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Location was great, house had everything we needed. Loved the charm & quirkiness. Took us a while to figure out TV remotes. Only thing we didnt like was the bed pillows (but that's just us!)

Lovely house!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this house for a weekend of skiing and we will definitely be back in the future! This house is an adorable, cozy place with lots of history. The location right along the creek made us wish we were there in the summer! Neither one of us have a single complaint, we loved our stay.

Fantastic Central Stay in the Mountains of CO

We had absolutely fantastic time staying at this place with our family. It was spacious, historic, beautiful house off the creek! We went skiing at 3 diffetent mountains and they all felt central from this location. Communication, cleanliness and affordability, everything was amazing. We will stay there again. Thank you.

Happy Hour by the Creek

We enjoyed another stay at this cottage and had beautiful weather, perfect for happy hour sitting next to the creek. A plus is opening the windows during the day to enjoy the sounds of the water. This is a perfect location if you like to walk into town. Thank you, Mary!

Cottage on the Stream

This was our third stay at Mary’s home. This perfect location makes it easy to walk to town. We enjoyed sitting by the stream and opening the windows to listen to the water while in the house. Thank you, Mary!

July vacation

The only reason for only 4 stars for cleanliness of the property was because of the overgrown yard. The owner did offer to try to find someone to come over and mow. The house was really beautiful. Comfortable beds.. Living room and kitchen were roomy. Our handicapped daughter was able to maneuver throughout the house. The creek running behind the house was beautiful. House was close enough to walk to the downtown area and enjoy the 4th of July parade and all the shops. Overall the house and owner are amazing.

Historic cottage with lovely stream

This cottage is a cozy step back in time. It was well situated for us to stay and be a short drive to hiking trailheads. It holds some quaint furniture to add to the nostalgia of the cottage. The updated kitchen was great for home cooking, which we prefer. Plenty of utensils and supplies for food prep and feeding the family. Loved the stream running along side of the property and the patio held comfortable chairs. The main street of Georgetown is a short walk around the corner and was enjoyable to explore. Georgetown lake and other great locals are within a short distance.The owner was easy to reach and responded quickly to my inquires. The only things of note are that the bathtub is much smaller then expected. It is a small claw foot tub and the shower curtain clings to you as you shower. Also, the kitchen cabinets are full so there is nowhere to store dry goods or personal items. Other than that, we enjoyed this cottage and would highly recommend it.

Location great! Home ok

Very mixed feelings about our stay. Pros: Location is absolutely perfect. Easy walk to everywhere. House has charming bear decor. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed for any meal prep. Next to a rushing creek, so relaxing and beautiful, great place for wine or meal. Responded quickly to need for hand soap and dishwasher detergent need. Beds very comfy. Quiet neighborhood. Cons: Cleaning could definitely be improved a lot. Shower, although adorable , is very, very small after required closing of shower curtain completely around the tub, maybe 18 inches across. Strange yellow spot on shower curtain and around the bottom 😳 Internet is very slow, not a high speed. Cable speed sucks, plain and simple. We were warned the yard was ‘wild, but she had not been here in a while’. Did not really concern us before we got there but knee to hip high weeds were a bit much. 3 of 4 stove burners smoked from grease on burner setting off the smoke detector. Had no hot water for about 12 hours, Karen came out and flipped the electrical braker. FYI it is on the backside of the house, we had to flip it again. We won’t rent again but will be back to Georgetown again. Love the Georgetown

Just as described!

The owner planted a beautiful flower garden which was very welcoming. We stayed for 2 months to avoid the high temperatures in Louisiana and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Plenty of towels and bedding and everything we needed in the kitchen. Thank you Mary.
