"Nice boutique hotel in an old chocolate factory. Red brick building with views of the Mississippi River just a block away. Easy walking along the river and to downtown bars, restaurants, and shops. There are several franchise/chain hotel options downtown, but the Charmant is the unique boutique. "

"The Hotel has potential but half of it was under construction and that was not listed anyplace when I booked or I would not have stayed there. The pool was open but looked bad with all the construction going on. The Room was ok but the bed had stains on it and the bathroom was not clean. The AC unit was loud and very old and it would cut on and off every 5 min I could not sleep all night because how loud it was. "

"The showers/bathtub was very slippery even 1 grab bar would have been helpful, didn’t even use it the second morning. Also needed some additional lighting, was trying to sew and it was very difficult, otherwise the room was beautiful and the beds very comfortable."
