If you are looking for a piece of heaven, in the heart of a virgin nature, where peace rhymes with birds singing and cowbells, combined with charm and luxury, then this is the place ! El Caprichio is an enchanting ground floor holiday home fitted with taste and care for detail. The perfectly tended gardens and the lit up private swimming pool ( 9x5m - 1,7m to 2,5m deapth),, are all surrounded by terraces and a pool-house. Full garden furniture is available.The interior is very cosy furnished. The blue studio is not attached to the main house. Which ensures extra privacy for romantic couples.From whichever standpoint, the panoramic views are breathtaking. El Caprichio is a must for those seeking peace and nature, while appreciating modern comfort. The area offers numerous excursion possibilities, and the roads are in a good state. In the immediate surroundings, you can discover many small and charming restaurants. Possibility of excursions on horseback or in a Jeep. The white villages with Ronda at the end are known worldwide, but also beautiful towns like Sotogrande, Tarifa, Gibraltar,... are very nice to visit. After a day of excursion, you can relax in El Caprichio.In the winter period, a maximum of 6 people is allowed.

Beautiful Setting

This is a wonderful house in an idyllic, quiet setting. The views are stunning and it's lovely to watch the birds, inc. vultures and eagles, soaring around the valley in front of you. The house has everything you need. Comfy beds, good showers and great air-conditioning. The pool area is perfect for relaxing and having a barbecue and the gardens are just lovely. It's like holidaying in the Hollywood Hills !! There's loads of places to visit nearby and we also did day trips to Ronda and Gibraltar. Can highly recommend this house for the perfect holiday.

PERFECT VIEWS - PERFECT STAY

What a fantastic house this is. Cared for down to the last detail. From bedroom to pool. From kitchen to terrace(s). And then that view. Due to the beautiful location, a car is indispensable, but driving here is not a punishment. Also very nice villages nearby with excellent facilities and good restaurants, but if you still want to leave...

Mes pires vacances

Premièrement les hôtes n’ont pas voulu nous attendre pour faire le check in, ils ont laissé les clés sur les portes... alors que nous étions à 5 minutes de la maison. Nous sommes arrivé pour trouver 6 chats qui vivaient ici, constamment à essayer de rentrer dans la maison et essayer de voler la nourriture quand nous avons essayer de faire un BBQ. Je les ai signalé aux hôtes car je suis allergiques mais ils ont vraiment pris les choses à la légère en disant que ce n’était pas leur chats et les choses ont été “réglés” après 3 jours. Les rebords de la piscine à abritent un nid de guêpes donc il n’est pas possible de se détendre à la piscine sans se faire piquer, et comme nous étions un couple avec un bébé de moins de 2 ans c’était très stressant donc nous n’avons pas profiter de la piscine. La porte de la petite maison à part qui abrite la chambre en suite ne ferme pas! Nous l’avons signaler à l’hôte qui a juste répondu “ oui quelqu’un devez venir la réparer la semaine dernière mais il n’est pas venu.” L’eau de la douche était marron jaune donc impossible de se laver. Je l’ai signalé et cela a été résolu au bout de 2 jours. Bref nous sommes entré le lundi à 16h00, et le mardi matin j’ai contacté le propriétaire pour lui expliquer tout cela et demander un accord à l’amiable pour partir le jour même avec un remboursement partiel ( au lieu de partir le samedi comme cela était prévu) et ils ont refusé. Nous avons donc essayé de rester mais avec tout ce stress des guêpes partout et tout les autres problèmes nous n’étions vraiment pas à l’aise et sommes parti le jeudi matin. Soit avec 2 jours d’avances. Jusqu’à ce jour l’hôte ne réponds pas à ma demande de remboursement partiel, il lit et ignore mes messages. Un conseil: fuyez !

A view imprinted on our minds

Well, it was just perfect. We loved every moment, the feel and comfort. The house is like a chalet or a beach house but in the mountains with a view that takes your breath away from sunrise to sunset. The garden, pool and outside dining area are lovely, the grounds felt very safe for a 4 and 6 year old (as long as they can swim, but even then the pool is set away from the house down some steps). The owners were charming and the general ease of the house made it easy to settle into. The location is perfect, close to Gaucin and Jimena de la Frontera as well as the coast. We did have some uninvited guests in the form of two black cats which belong to a neighbouring farm. Also the water which in late summer when the well is dry, comes from the local mains and smells a little like spinach, but we coped happily enough. Will definitely be returning. The log burner and surrounding countryside would make this a lovely couples retreat in Spring, Autumn and indeed winter as well as summer.
