We had an excellent stay! The communication was awesome and checking in was a breeze. The home was super close to the North Entrance of Yellowstone and very comfortable when we were inside during the cold and snowy weather. The kitchen had everything we needed and we felt super relaxed. A great stay!
Very close to the Yellowstone North Entrance, lots of shopping and dining within walking distance. Perfect location to unwind after a long day in the park, plenty of room to stretch out and unwind.
nice house with 2 nice bathrooms and 2 bedrooms and loft area with bed. downtown near good restaurants and bars. beautiful view out of the front door. nice living room and kitchen area too.
I stayed here with my wife, children (8 and 5), and my parents. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own sleeping space, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. You are just down the road from local coffee shops and restaurants and the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We would stay there again.
It is literally two minutes from the North Yellowstone entrance. You can walk to all the eating places right there as well. We had elk eating grass in our front yard.
3 bedroom 2 bath rental worked great for walking to shops and restaurants. No designated parking only street parking. The unit gets stuffy as most windows are stationary and do not open. New pillows would be a welcome addition. The property manager was very responsive to any issue.
Although the front of the property was not well kept, the location and home were perfect for our needs. Comfortable and extremely close to gate to Yellowstone and within walking distance of many places to eat and shop. I walk with a cane and it was accessible. They asked for shoes to be removed when entering the home but made an exception for my braces. The front porch was a delightful place to sit in the evenings and early mornings,
The location of the property is great! However, the property was not cleaned. There was toothpaste residue left on the bathroom sink faucets, the jets in the tub were covered in black mold, the kitchen sink and stove had food residue, and all air units were caked in dust. The occupation license was also expired by 9 months. I contacted the owner about this once we arrived. They said they would contact me the next morning since it was late. I didn’t receive a call, text, or message at all. They obviously didn’t care that the property was not in good condition for guests or the fact that we were not happy about the condo of the property that we paid for.
This property is located in cute Gardiner and we were very pleased with how close it was to start and end our day at Yellowstone. We stayed two nights. The first night we were able to walk next door and grab dinner from a food truck and listen to live music. The following night, we got back from the park at peak dinner time, so we opted to cook dinner at the house. The kitchen is minimally stocked, but we made it happen. While the listing states it has air conditioning, it was not central air like we're used to. We visited during a very warm time of year and the upstairs got VERY stuffy and miserable. The house has a window unit and two portable units. The downstairs was comfortable, but at the end of the day, the upstairs was not. Our family of 7 had no choice but to suck it up. There is also no parking spot assigned to the house, so we had to park on the street and walk and then try to move closer to the house later in the evening. The property itself was very clean and in a quiet location. The owner was very quick to respond to my messages.
We rented this unit for our trip to Yellowstone. It is located right at the north gate, which was wonderful.
However, this was not one of our favorite VRBO stays for the trip. Particularly because it wasn't clean. There were crumbs on the living room end table and floor, and the bathtub was dirty. Also, there were high weeds in the walkway and steps going up to the unit. The platform bed in the downstairs room had a very comfortable mattress, but it was hard to get around the right side of the bed without wacking your leg on the wood bed frame corner. The upstairs loft area was a bit weird but it would be OK for kids. My 73 year old mother-in-law had to watch her head and didn't find the bed comfortable. The unit is on a hill, so you will need to carry your luggage up stairs, maybe 15 or so steps.
I don't think there were many options in this small town right outside Yellowstone which met our needs of at least 2 bedroom with baths, but next time I think we'd look harder for a better unit.
This house is decorated very well, in a great location, and was very clean and comfortable. Overall, I must give it a very good review, as we enjoyed the facility. However, there were several things that concerned us. There were 6 in our group and the home was advertised and had beds for 10. That said, there were only 5 glasses, very minimal pans for cooking, and no trays for the oven (to keep our Texas toast from dripping in the oven, we ran out to buy foil). Both the kitchen sink and the tub would get hot water for a minute or so, and then change to freezing cold water (??) My husband was afraid to shower out of fear the same would happen in the shower. When we came, the long steps up to the unit were covered in ice and snow - we spent some time trying to chip it off (thank you for the shovel), as the railing only went halfway down and we had several seniors with us that were afraid of slipping. We had to park way down the street and the streets and sidewalks were treacherous. It did appear as though there might have been parking in the back for guests, but this was not mentioned to us, and the walk to the house had about a foot of snow on it. The first night there, beeping alerted us to a fire alarm that had a dead battery - the unit itself was very out of date. At that point we went looking for a carbon monoxide alarm and did not find one. These are all things that can be fixed I'm sure. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful property with all the right accommodations, just blocks from the Rosevelt Arch at the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Walking distance to gift shops and restaurants in town. Highly recommend!!!!!
This rental had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and easy access to the park entrance and restaurants to walk to. Parking is challenging during busy seasons but patience is key. The owner was very responsive to any questions.
Enjoyed our stay, comfortable. Meant to leave a message for housekeeping to replace light bulb above the stove. Overall nice and convenient place to stay. You have lots of options for food and restaurants when you return in the evenings.
Wonderful stay to kick off our Yellowstone trip! The property is literally around the corner from the Roosevelt Arch, with unbeatable morning views. Just as memorable as the location were the owners. After checkout, I realized I had left my watch behind. They went above and beyond—working with their cleaning staff for several days after our departure to track it down and ship it back to me out-of-state. Truly outstanding hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again!
