Very nice location and house was well maintained. The house is in need of upgrades and some attention. There is no AC which was an issue the first day there as it was hot. Should have been clearly identified in the listing that there was no AC. Also, this is a vacation home and there is NO dishwasher. There's no sprayer for the kitchen sink and virtually no water pressure in the kitchen sink, which is strange because water pressure is good in other areas of the house. Also, there/s no screen in the upstairs bedroom window so it was no possible to get cool air to circulate throughout the house. It was a perfect size for our family of 4 with beautiful views. We loved hiking around the cabin and we grilled pretty much every night (propane grill). We also saw tons of elk in the mornings! Suggestions: We had a difficult time trying to find the entrance to get in the cabin gate at night. It is shortly after mile marker 16 (north of Gardiner). We also noticed that the binder at the cabin had a lot of suggestions, but for places in Bozeman, Ennis, Big Sky, etc (all an hour away). This cabin is about a 20 minute drive to Gardiner and the North entrance into Yellowstone. Plenty of things to do within that area! The satellite for the TV did not have good reception. Maybe bring some DVDs if you want to watch something? The Wifi does work though! We loved the Yellowstone Hot Springs, which was about 10 minutes in between the house and Gardiner. There are not large grocery stores but you can find what you need at the Emigrant General Store (Sinclair Gas station) or Gardiner Market both of which are about 15 minutes either direction. The washer and dryer worked great! There was an ironing board, but no iron. It all worked out since we popped the clothes in the dryer to fluff them up. Also, there wasn't a dish washer, so bring paper plates if you don't want to hand wash a lot of dishes. ##### Amber P. Don’t use GPS though we spent an hour looking for it. Trash is located across the street and made us a little nervous because it said we needed a pass to place it there but we were not provided one by the host. Check out instructions weren’t overly clear, we had to ask what to do with linens etc. very hot in the house with no AC. Luckily there was a portable, you have to put the hose in the window and it doesn’t quite fit so it let a lot of mosquitos in. Overall though cute place, great location in reference to where the park is. Clean home. Plenty or bear spray already there and basic amenities. ##### Jacqueline B. Surrounded by beautiful nature and a good view. The cabin had what we needed to cook, well equipped, comfortable beds. When we were there it was over 95 degrees, so it got very hot in the evening inside the cabin, but there were several fans we could use, and doors and windows that could be opened, so we could cool down the cabin in the evening when the temperature dropped. The cabin was close to Yellowstone, and Gardiner, as well as Emigrant where there are also shops for groceries, or not far to Livingston.
