Main floor bedroom and bath was convenient for elderly family member. All bedrooms had comfortable beds. Three upstairs bedrooms all have sloped ceilings. We inadvertently bumped our heads a couple of times during the stay. Encountered some issues with the grill and toaster. Sectional sofa in living room can use a thorough clean. The house and gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. The owner has put a lot of thought and work into maintaining the charm of the older stone cottage while integrating modern conveniences and luxuries, with an eye towards eco-friendly updates. Our adult children and grandchildren enjoyed the hot tub and the spa bathroom. They went out in canoes, although the river was a bit shallow so they could not cover much distance.
