Best aspect is the location
The location right on Eyre Square is perfect, but for the price I would have preferred a hostel if any had vacancies several months out for a couple (which they didn't). The staff is reasonable and accommodating. The floor plan (which you notice if you have a few suitcases) involves stairs and about 4 doors in weird places in the hallways on the way to your rooms. Not a big deal unless you have a full load of suitcases. Breakfast is good, live music in the bar is nice. Contrary to many other hotels I've noticed in the U.K., our room here had an air conditioner that actually worked nicely, except for the loud and random noises it made all night. Room was spacious but showed it's age.
