"When I arrived, the attendent who checked me in, did not pull up the correct account. My mistake also for not catching it. I signed the paperwork. When I got to the room it was a single bed for 4 people. I went back down to let her know my reservation was for 2 queens. She argued with me that I booked a King room. I showed her my reservation confirmation and she changed me to a correct room occupancy. Right before bed time, the manager knocked on my door to check if anyone was in room. He told he the person who was suppose to have this room checked in. He would need for me to come down to the desk and have my credit card reran on the correct account. He told me I could stay in same room. The manager was very polite about it, but said he would have a talk with the person who checked me in. Overall, I love the hotel. I will always stay here before cruising. Love the parking at the hotel. Very convenient!"

"The Grand Galvez is one of my favorite places ever and I go several times a year. Jan, is the absolute best and always goes above and beyond for the guests. I had such a wonderful time and she made my birthday so special. It’s such a great location and such a beautiful and historical hotel. I would recommend to everyone to visit. Thanks again Galvez, Mrs. Jan, and staff!"

"I had a very good experience with this location; I was here for just one night before the cruise we were headed on the following day. Very basic hotel but really had a cute rustic feel to it. I can't comment on the breakfast because I missed it by 10 minutes, but I definitely liked the staff, specifically D'Marcus. He was so friendly and kind and held a great conversation. I mentioned to him that the hotel was great, but the mosquito problem was out of control. Sadly, we told him that we could not even go out and play on the mini golf because of them. I mentioned to him that I thought it would be SUPER DUPER wise of the management to sell mosquito repellent cans and/or mosquito repellent wipes. This is a HUGE additional revenue opportunity for them and trust me, I would have bought some !!!!"

"It was one of the best hotels I been to, but they only give you 2 towels (not even wash towels), which is not enough for a week stay. And no stand in the shower where you can put your shampoo or body wash"
