Sunsets and sunrises Welcome to the Bayfront Retreat! Located bay front in the city of Jamaica Beach, this property has incredible views of Galveston Bay and is only a short golf cart ride to the beach as well! Enjoy local restaurants, food trucks and bars close by like the Way West Pizzeria, Venado's Cantina, and much more - only a 10-minute drive to Galveston as well. This home offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms in total, a large open concept living and kitchen space, plenty of entertainment area and seating and all with amazing views of Galveston Bay. There is a one-bedroom suite on the ground floor, and three bedrooms and three bathrooms upstairs. Relax and enjoy your morning coffee from the third story deck while watching the kids catch fish right in the back yard or maybe enjoy some yoga waterside on the dock. There are two kayaks, life jackets and paddles, with two bicycles and helmets available as well. An outdoor entertainment area that features a granite countertop bar, big flat screen tv, a refrigerator and ice maker, even a margarita machine for the adults - Enjoy your beverage sitting around the glass fire pit next to the water. Free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property, outlets and USB chargers on almost every wall and end table. Free EV vehicle charger available upon request. Washer and dryers on both the ground floor and second floor. There are also two boat slips to store your boat as well as a swim ladder if you decide to take a swim in the bay. The Kitchen features two full size ovens, four electric stove burners, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Stocked with pots, pans, baking sheet, plates, bowls, utensils, crockpot, toaster, wine glasses and much more. There is coffee and tea, offering a variety of dark and medium roasts, decaf, creamers, sugars and flavored teas. Paper towels and dishwasher detergent are also provided. The Primary bedroom is on the third floor and boast incredible views of Galveston Bay from both East and West - you won't forget these sunsets and sunrises! The calming colors make this room a destination from the hustle and bustle. There is a king bed with cooling sheets, Smart TV, dedicated workspace facing the water and a walk-in closet. Attached is the master bathroom with a standup shower, jetted jacuzzi tub and his and her sinks. The second bedroom is on the second floor and features a king size bed, flat screen TV, closet and electric shutters to help keep the room cool during hot summer months. The third bedroom is on the second-floor features two sets of bunkbeds, with reading lamps, flat screen TV, love seat and a closet. Amazing views of the bay whether you're cooking dinner in the kitchen or BBQing by the water. Enjoy meals or coffee on the decks while taking in the scenery and wildlife or just lounge in the hammock by the water waiting for the fish to bite. Rent a golf cart and ride to the beach or take the bike for a ride around the neighborhood or to the community pool close by. The city of Jamaica Beach is a short drive to Galveston and has their own fire department and police services. The community has a neighborhood park and a community pool that is $5 per person, per day - paid directly at the pool and is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is no better location in Jamaica Beach than this. This was our first time staying on the actual bay—and being able to watch sunrise and sunset from the patios was so amazing. Also no better fishing location—they literally jump on to the hook and kids spent hours and hours just catching fish (and we dropped a crab trap and caught dozens of large blue claw crab). Everything was beautiful and ready for us when we arrived in the evening. Our children immediately began fishing with the provided poles and crab trap. My wife and I enjoyed the upper balcony where we could survey the beautiful views and keep our eye on the small fisherman and kayakers below. The kitchen was conducive to cooking and relaxing with an instapot, electric kettle, and other timesaving devices that made our stay that much more enjoyable. This trip allowed us to get away and make some special memories with our five children in a place that was quiet, beautiful, and well equipped to meet our family’s needs. ##### William C. If we had family or friends staying with us, we would have been embarrassed to ask them to use those rooms. It was just my husband and I. The only negative thing was the home hadn’t been cleaned and we arrived late in the evening. So we had to wash a set of sheets to have someplace to sleep. There was an emergency number to call but no one answered so we had to leave a message. The next morning around 10:00, the Rental Company showed up but didn’t offer to comp the first night. This was very disappointing. Not the best way to run a business. Other than that it was a wonderful property. We fished and crabbed right off the boat doc outside the back door. BEWARE, the mosquitoes were terrible! We purchased a Thermacell from Walmart and it worked like a charm. We would definitely book again! ##### Wendy M. Reviewer Comments: We came down with our kids & their friends for Spring Break. This house was perfect for us! The furniture and house were very comfortable. It was exactly like the pictures showed it. It was very clean & had everything we could need. The communication with the rental company was great. They were very helpful & accommodating. We brought our jet ski down & was able to store it at the dock, which was great. It has an amazing view! Beautiful sunsets! The place was awesome and the Galveston rental property i picked up the keys from was super helpful and answered my questions. Reviewer Comments: This property is very nice. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 9 people and we loved the location. We truly enjoyed our stay.There are a few things that should have been addressed or clarified in the property description. The major one is the boat lift is not available to use. It would have been nice to know that we only had access to the slips as we planned on using the lift. This is NOT a no wake zone so other boaters can cause a lot of wake and our boat took a beating just being tied, even with bumpers, and not lifted. The outdoor swings were rusted out and broken. One of the kids (7yo) fell through one of them the first time he sat down the very first evening. The outdoor grill was left dirty too.The amenities i.e., liquid hand soap and dish soap were watered down. The sponges were gross. The dishwasher soap wasn't good either and there was no laundry soap. There were no dish towels or oven mitts either. For these things, had we known, we would have brought our own but instead, spent a small fortune at the local store purchasing these items. We were only told to bring paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags so we assumed everything else would be provided.A couple ceiling fans didn't work and there were also a few burned out light bulbs. (no biggie)There was a foul smell in the first floor bathroom so we kept the door open the entire time. All in all, we would stay here again for future family get togethers and know we know what we need to bring.P.S. A blender would have been great. ##### GLORIA C. ---
