We were literally the only people on several days. We went out at night when able to star gaze. Not busy at all ,will most definitely return at this time of year again. It is about 20 minutes from 61st. So if night time fun is what your looking for you might look alittle closer to town. We were with our grandkids so the quiet was great. Don't forget to bring your basketball there is a basketball hoop and concrete driveway to play a game or two. Plenty of parking available. The access to the beach is very accessible and easy to get to. The bunk beds are not made for teens or adults as they are very hard and the mattresses are very thin however they have an extra mattress available.
