Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided. Ceiling fan in bedrroom rattled and wobbled. Air Conditioning worked well. The "roof terrace" was broken and dirty, two hammocks hung there in shreds. The pictures shown on hotels.com bear no resemblance to current reality. Then imagine that the hotel you booked transfers you to another hotel, one that you discarded while browsing. Giving you a “ocean view” room, with no, or minimal, ocean in sight.. this is what Muhsin Villa decided to do with our reservation. They moved us to a hotel called Sunset Fort, a horrible hotel, away from the fort center, a hotel we would never have booked. Very disappointed!! On top of that, we paid more for the room at Muhsin that we never got than the room rate is at Sunset Fort. Check-in was super fast. We stayed here for 2 nights. Souad and Zahir were great hosts. I had nice chat with Zahir. Breakfast was good too. The best thing about this place is the location. It is at the center of the fort. Just opposite to Deco on 44\. We really enjoyed the stay here. Room was clean. We got hot water in the shower. Nothing to complain of the price we pay.
