The condo was wonderful and in a perfect location, close to everything! There was a little challenge in contacting the leasing company directly. Had to contact VRBO to get hold of them. And email messages were returned undeliverable when it came time to let them know what our car was for the reserved parking spot. Fortunately, they did not try to tow our vehicle. Having a reserved parking spot was wonderful given the downtown location of the condo.

This property is in a great location and has everything you will need. It also comes with a dedicated parking spot - which is worth it's weight in gold in downtown Galena. Because this is on the second floor of an older store front building, be prepared for very steep steps. The decor and feeling of the studio is spot on.

Great Location Steps from Shops and Restaurants

1st time to Galena and the location of this unit did not disappoint! One minute walk to shops and restaurants. Spacious and very clean unit with high ceilings. Comfortable bed. Quick response from owner/manager when messaged thru the VRBO APP. Happy to have had a designated parking spot one block from the unit. Some street noise in the morning but small price for being so close to everything! Just be aware that there are 22 steep stairs up to the unit in case you have mobility issues (not a problem for us).

Great communication with host and ease of accessing rental was stellar! This rental has a great location with everything you could need for a little getaway. This studio was clean and furnished appropriately. Comes with a dedicated parking spot! Super handy for busy weekends when parking might be an issue. Located above Main Street business and pretty quiet during visit. Stairs might be an issue for some people. You do have somewhat steep stairs entering/exiting studio. Overall, we’d happily choose this rental again! Only improvement/suggestion might be the renovated shower glass divider does allow water to escape pretty easily. May have extra rug/mat to limit floor on water.

Overall, a clean and nice place to stay while in Galena. A few drawbacks this time though... the owner was slow to respond when we called twice (didn't answer the phone), and then messaged on the vrbo app, to which she did respond. The address that Google pulled up when I clicked on "get directions" from our booking brought us to the wrong location, so a local lady had to give us better directions. We had no TV remote, even after searching the entire place high and low. There is no shower door or curtain (it's just a half wall), so the bathroom floor got very wet after a shower. There was no shower rug, so we used a folded up towel. All in all though, this provided a nice place to stay right in the middle of downtown Galena.
