Strategically placed on the edge of tall woods this home takes advantage of it's beautiful surroundings by featuring floor to ceiling windows so our guests can enjoy nature from both the outside and the inside. Often you will see deer, wild turkey, fox, and birds of all colors! The home features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, bright great room, full length deck with grill, large family room, pool table, and games for the little ones. Gather around the cozy fireplace or outdoor fire pit with family and friends.

You will have access to the Galena Territory Owners' Club and all it's amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, game room, fitness center, gym, tennis and basketball courts, and more.

The host was very thoughtful and accommodating! We were traveling over Thanksgiving and they asked if they could confirm any kitchen tools needed to prepare the meal, or anything else needed to make our stay special. She also warned us about some snow on the way and looked out for our safety on the curvy roads during the storm. The house was clean and well appointed for the holiday and even had some Christmas decor to make it festive!

We had a great time at this house! Plenty of cooking and eating space in the kitchen and the kids really enjoyed the play area. Located so close to the pool and golf course and just a short drive into downtown Galena and over to Iowa.

An absolute oasis

Great summer getaway for a large family

We had a large group, so we needed to find a large house with enough bedrooms to accommodate us. This house has four bedrooms to sleep eight. There might also be a pullout that we did not use. The location is just a short 15-minute drive to Galena, which was great, because once we were outside of Galena there was virtually no traffic. We all appreciated the pool table in the basement, and the coffee table on the main level was large enough for a puzzle. (You'd be amazed how much less time folks spend on their phones when there is a puzzle laying around.) All in all, a great four-night stay! The owners are great to communicate with, very responsive, and gave us a lot of tips on shopping, the owners' club, etc.

Family Vacation

The inside of the house was very clean, well stocked, and above what was described-even ice cube trays were filled for us! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of entertainment items available. Nice hospitable touches were throughout the house. Customer service call before arriving was a welcome touch as well. As an outdoor living family, we thought the outdoor space was lacking the same attention. There was a small firepit in the middle of 2-3 ft weeds off to the side of the house, the upper deck had not been swept in a while ( more than just random leaves ), and the lower deck space had sparce furniture and 2-3 ft weeds in the gathering area. Paying attention to the outdoor space would make this wonderfully located and private residence even better.

The BEST Vacation Home EVER!

We have rented many vacation homes over the years and in a variety of locations from the beaches of NC to the mountains of WV to miner's cabins in Mineral Point, WI, as well as other homes in the Galena Territories. Everyone agrees -- this was the BEST place by far! We had 5 adults staying at the cabin, as well as 2 teens, and 2 children under 6. We had lots and lots of space -- movies and pool in the basement, cards around the table, chatting, reading, and listening to music in the main living space. I really appreciated (having driven 14 hours) arriving at a cabin with toilet paper, made beds (yes, I have had to make my own beds upon arrival!), paper towels, soap - and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need - pizza cutter (yes, I have had to purchase in the past!), wine/bottle/can openers, pots, pans, baggies, saran wrap, pens, paper. It really is like staying at your family's vacation home - warm, inviting, stress-free. And to top all of that off it is SPOTLESS, bug-free, and absolutely cozy and beautiful! Our family enjoyed many of the activities over the July 4th weekend the territory and neighboring communities had to offer - the pool, rodeo, pancake and parachute breakfast, fireworks, parade, and walking around quaint Galena. It was truly a memorable week! We will be back! Thank you!
