Lumpkin County (Dahlonega) business license #3958 short term rental #001. Dahlonega / Dawsonville : Unplug and unwind in the North Georgia mountains in a Tuscan Villa located in the historic Auraria community of Lumpkin County. Lots of quartz rock in this house, quarried off the surrounding land, which was once a booming gold mining district in the 1800s. Located just up the hill from the Etowah Tunnel, known to many kayak & canoe enthusiasts as the 1/4-mile-long abandoned mining tunnel bored to divert the river to mine gold from the river bottom. Situated between Dawsonville & Dahlonega. This house is perfect for family gatherings for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, reunions, retreats and life. Just right for chilling out with the subtle sounds of the nearby Etowah River.

Very welcoming host! The house was clean and had everything you wanted or needed. We stayed thru Christmas and the kitchen had everything to cook a big Christmas dinner! The sauna and hot tub were a perfect addition.
This is a phenomenal property! Host greeted us on arrival and showed us around. The house was spotless and there were some thoughtful personalized welcome messages throughout the house. The upstairs was great for getting ready together for our outings. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels and blankets. We will definitely stay here again!
This property was absolutely beautiful and felt like a true escape. We stayed with close friends to celebrate an upcoming marriage, my best friend found her libster! The home could not have been a better setting. The house was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully maintained, and decorated beautifully. The bar area was a standout feature and made hosting a wine night in effortless. The deck was our favorite space, perfect for a book, a cup of coffee and the quiet of the surrounding woods.Although we did not take advantage of the sauna or wood fired hot tub, both were beautifully presented and added to the overall sense of luxury. The drive into downtown Dahlonega was just under twenty minutes, with easy, well marked roads, which made outings simple and stress free. The host was kind, responsive, and informative. We would wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone seeking a peaceful, well appointed space for a great time with friends, celebration, and rest.
The property was just as described- clean, comfortable, and spacious. It is close enough to travel into town but still feels very secluded. It was wonderful!
Every thing was wonderful.
The house was well equipped with everything that you would need, with a lot of extras to really make you feel comfortable. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
The host was phenomenal. The house is absolutely amazing and better than advertised. Everything was clean and beds slept wonderfully. Plenty of space and everything is set up perfectly. Indoor and outdoor space with plenty of comfortable seating was great. Bathrooms were spacious and spotless. Loved it!!!!
Girls weekend and we loved the house! It had everything we could possibly need. Plenty of sleep space. Fireplace. Firepit. Owner did a good job of communicating with us about everything. Would stay here again.
We had a great time, in a beautiful "cabin" hilly and woodsy views about a kilometer from the river. The host went out of his way to put up the Christmas tree early per my request and it was beautiful! I hope we get to stay here again. Merry Christmas!
I had a fairly large group doing an off road motorcycld trip and this was one of the few places that could accommodate for one night. What a fantastic place! Special touches and welcome to the property was superb, house was clean, and had everything we needed. Greeted at the house and given a tour to show us around as well.
Love this place. Very well appointed and clean. Every detail was thought out about this place. This is a huge convenience and we appreciated being able to drop in and relax. Our whole family enjoyed the privacy of the rooms/bathrooms and the central gathering spaces to visit with coffee in hand for the morning, or gathering around the living room for the evening. Thank you James for all you did to make our weekend a memorable one.
This house has everything for a relaxing, comfortable stay! It is clean, comfortable and updated, yet has a rustic, timeless charm. The pictures don't do it justice. Of course, we were there when the leaves were changing and a there was a crispness in the air, which just elevated the comfort and charm. This is a perfect house for a large family or a gathering of friends....beds for everyone, updated bathrooms, large kitchen for cooking, etc. James was a wonderful host who greeted us upon arrival. We can't wait to come back!
This property is unique and interesting. The host is responsuve and kind. The hoise is spacious and has a beautifully large porch. We loved the long table in the middle of the main house. It was fun to enjoy a birthday meal all together. Lastly, my bed was extreemely comfortable. We will go back.
I recently enjoyed a weekend getaway at this lovely cabin with friends. The house was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. James, the owner, was super friendly and made us feel right at home.
The cabin has everything you need—cups, dishes, pots, pans, you name it! There are two rooms on the first floor: one with a single bed and another with two beds, both with their own bathrooms. The second floor doesn’t have specific rooms but includes a powder room. While the cabin can sleep up to 10 people, it might not be ideal if everyone wants their own room. We split our group into girls and boys, which worked out fine.
There’s a gas grill inside and an outdoor fire pit with a grill. We were excited to use the outdoor fire pit but ran into a couple of issues. First, there were three big dogs from the neighbors that made it tricky to drive out and grill outside. The dogs were friendly, but their size was a bit intimidating. Second, the grass was quite tall, making it hard to walk. Despite these minor issues, the fire pit area was well-maintained with plenty of chairs. I’d love to return in winter when the grass isn’t an issue and hopefully no dogs are around.
As mentioned in the description, a bigger car is definitely better. I had a Tesla Model 3 as a loaner, and it was super challenging to drive in and out. Friends with sedans had a tough time too, but SUVs were fine.
Overall, it was a great stay, and I’m looking forward to returning in different seasons.
The cabin was beautiful and more than we could have expected!

James is absolutely fantastic!! The property is beautiful and entertainment friendly. However, the sauna and hot tub/cold plunge aren't really a plus. But we Absolutely loved our stay!!!!
It was our second stay in this house. Everything was excellent as in the first time we stayed in. Very clean cozy house, very nice owner, the location is great about 1/2 hour from wineries, gold mines, Helena and many others places worth to see.
