Forget the difficult times of lockdown and the stress of everyday life: everything is very far away here. In the morning you will be among the first in Italy to see the sun rise from the sea on the southeast tip of Italy’s heel. And in the evening you can end the day with an aperitivo on the terrace and maybe relax in the outdoor jacuzzi set to your preferred water temperature (max 40 C) and enjoy the breathtaking view. The house has a simple but cozy maritime interior. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with three single beds, two of which are usually joined as a double bed. There are also two bathrooms with shower and a spacious dining living room with a kitchenette including a fridge, freezer and gas stove. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are available, as is a coffee machine (moka or French press). The house consists of two parts that are on different levels and have separate entrances. Here you rent the upper part, which is marked with the letter A (see photo gallery). The two parts of the house are spatially separated from each other by stone walls, canopies and plants and cannot be seen from the other unit. Neither indoor nor outdoor spaces are shared with the other guests; the terrace and whirlpool are also exclusively for you. Only the washing machine is shared. Larger groups can rent both parts of the house (max 10 guests). The whirlpool (dimensions approx. 200x200cm) will be opened for you on request; it can be used all year round, including (or even more so!) in winter. The surcharge is €80 for the preparation €20 per day, which includes the cleaning and disinfection of the whirlpool approx. Twice a week and with every guest change. You can reach the house from the private car park via stone stairs (relatively steep). The coast in the area is very rugged (you can visit some of the sea caves under the house by boat from Santa Maria di Leuca), so the sea cannot be reached on foot. The nearest sea access is in Leuca (approx. 3 km, including a small sandy beach) and the famous Ciolo Fjord (approx. 5 km). The extensive, golden sandy beaches of the Ionian coast (e.g. Pescoluse, Maldive del Salento and then on towards Torre San Giovanni) can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. There are several supermarkets and excellent restaurants within 5 km. You can rent boats or book boat tours in Santa Maria di Leuca. Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €26 per person. Final cleaning is not included and costs €120, unless you clean yourselves before departure. Dogs and pets are welcome, if you inform us in advance! Surcharge: €150 for the 1st one, €75 each for the others. Usually max 1 large or 2 small ones are allowed, but exceptions might be possible upon request. We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €600 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage. Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,46 on 08/01/2026, when this text was last updated. Prices may slightly change over time. Logement de plein pied avec façade en pierres qui donne un aspect magnifique et authentique au bâtiment qui se fond naturellement dans le paysage. Un pin de grande et belle taille et de hauts palmiers agrémentent harmonieusement la partie extérieure. L'intérieur du logement correspond parfaitement à la description et la climatisation des chambres a été appréciée pour son efficacité afin de mieux supporter la canicule de ce mois de juillet. Au final, notre famille a passé 15 jours de vacances mémorables. Nous essaierons d'y revenir au plus vite.
