João, Carla and the great kitchen and cleaning staff went the extra mile to make our one week stay comfortable. The room we got was an upgrade because we had found the first room’s bathroom uncomfortably cramped. The room we got was an extra story to climb stairs but João insisted that he carry our bags. He was also super helpful with ideas and bus connections. The large windows opened wide in the evenings to let fresh cool air in. If we had to be inside during the day, the AC could cool the room down in minutes. The bed and bathroom shower were roomy and comfortable. Daily room service left the place neat and tidy when came back from our daily adventures.
Within a couple of blocks of the cathedral and amazing pubs and restaurants.
Easy access to main thoroughfare and bus routes.
Can be noisy depending on partyers down below, but enclosing windows seals most of the noise away.
