It is accessed by stairs, and right on the -1 floor you will find a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower, the kitchen and laundry room, an office, and a living room. Outside you will find a backyard, outdoor shower, and a garden with barbecue where you can prepare your meals outdoors. The ground floor has two bedrooms with double bed, and two private bathrooms with shower. On the 1st floor there is an attic with a spacious living room. This property has a maximum capacity of 6 people. Private outdoor parking. Wi-Fi is available in all areas. AREA This house is located near the Barreiros Stadium where several soccer matches take place. This property has a great location for those who want to stay close to the city center of Funchal. Nearby you can find the Levada dos Piornais, the Nazaré viewpoint overlooking the center of Funchal, and the Quinta Magnólia Garden. Within a 20-minute walk you can easily reach the lido bathing complex, and within 25 minutes you can walk to the Madeira Casino, Santa Catarina Park, and the center of Funchal where you will find other attractions. GETTING AROUND The best option to get to the property is by transfer. Ask us to arrange one with our local partners. It's cheaper than the cabs you'll find at the airport. Walking distance to centre. If you are fairly fit you can walk back but hilly . Free safe gated parking and fairly easy to access most of island for sightseeing. Bbq and outside area very nice but not used as we only stayed a few nights. House is suitable for 6 people to be comfortable. Bed and breakfast opposite handy for cocktail or snack. Nice garden area. Lack of cooking utensils (knives, chopping boards, oven dishes). An electric hoover would have been useful. We had an issue of no bins which was not picked up by initial inspection. From a partner site ### 6/10 Okay #### Erich L. 12 Oct 2023 #### Gute Lage, leider etwas laut und ein Ungezieferproblem Das Haus ist nicht leicht zu finden, ist aber in einer guten Lage unweit von Zentrum von Funchal. Die Einfahrt zum Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück ist schwierig weil die Nachbarn in der sehr engen Zufahrtsstrasse eine Millimeterarbeit mit dem Auto erfordert. Raumaufteilung ist gut, Matratzen etwas hart, Badezimmer gut ausgestattet und die Küche ausreichend. Der Garten ist leider etwas klein…Wir haben mehrere Tage gebraucht um die unzähligen Lichtschalter richtig zu bedienen - war unlogisch angeordnet und ein Ratespiel. Leider sind die Nachbarhunde am Abend und in der Nacht sehr aktiv und bellen. Mit offenen Fenstern schlafen ist schwer möglich. Leider haben wir in der Waschküche und am Grillplatz im Freien riesige Kakerlaken vorgefunden. Die kommen wohl aus der Nachbarschaft, sind aber trotzdem ein Problem für dieses Haus. Die Waschküche hat eine Tür direkt ins Freie und besteht aus Metalllamellen wodurch diese nach außen hin offen ist. Hier kommen die Kakerlaken wohl und den Raum und von dort in die Küche …. Das große und tolle TV-Gerät ist unbrauchbar wenn man nicht Portugiesisch spricht. Es ist uns nicht gelungen einen Film oder ein Programm auf Englisch zu finden. Gebrauchsanweisung - Fehlanzeige. So hatten wir an den Abenden viel Zeit zum Reden…. Leider hat auch die Kommunikation mit dem lokalen Ansprechpartner nicht funktioniert. Wir hatten versucht ihn mehrmals telefonisch zu erreichen - leider erfolglos. Und auch kein Rückruf. Schade! Insgesamt eher eine Enttäuschung. Das Problem mit dem Nachbarhunden kann wohl nicht so einfach gelöst werden, das mit den Kakerlaken IM Gebäude schon. ##### Erich L.
