Whatever villa you choose you'll always have a great view of the ocean! We were lucky to stay in 518, water pool villa and it was perfect! You have your little slice of paradise if you fancy some great snorkeling (right on top of the reef) and some private time. Otherwise the big main pool, just outside the main restaurant is incredible too and you can walk to the beach and jump into the ocean directly from there! The two restaurants offer a big variety of food, catering for every need! The restaurant team is so welcoming and kind. Madvi chats with everyone with her big smile, Poppy makes the best coffees, the whole team is attentive and present without forcing interactions! My wife unfortunately was not feeling great for the last two days and they were really kind, genuine and caring! 10/10! If you fancy a relaxing afternoon I can't recommend to try the Spa enough! Both Ida and Rena looked after us so well and their massages are a perfect mix of relaxation and rejuvenation! The diving center has many options for scuba diving, snorkeling and some excursions! We loved the sunset cruise, we were able to take amazing pictures and saw the dolphins too! Skip the local island tour, Marty, our guide was very informative but there is really not much to see. Also, make it clear with the reception, which discounts you can get and what is included in the offers as it was very vague and we discovered it only when we settled the bill. Overall great time!" We loved our overwater villa. The water had so many colors. We loved the size of the resort. It felt intimate and quiet-which we loved because we live in a big city and we want to feel relaxed on vacation. The staff is wonderful. Yassir was our butler and he took care of us. The Raffles worker who greeted us at the airport (I believe his name was Ahmed) helped us tremendously. He got us all checked in for our domestic flight and showed us where to go. He even got us on an earlier flight to the resort which we so appreciated! The General Manager Tracey is fantastic and helpful. And we have wonderful things to say about the chef, Shane. My wife has dairy and gluten allergies and she can’t eat most meats. Shane did a great job catering a menu to my wife and he was so friendly! We miss the staff at Raffles, including the waiters. All of them made Raffles feel like home. Raffles is definitely a paradise island. Very unique. And if you are looking to go to the Maldives for the first time or visit a new place in the Maldives, we definitely recommend Raffles! You won’t regret it. Everything about Raffles was perfect. The house coral reef is excellent with lots of exotic fish. This was our first time in the Maldives. And we plan to visit Raffles Maldives again. We’ve stayed at nice resorts around the world in around 50 countries, including Four Seasons in Bora Bora. Raffles Maldives might be my favorite.
