Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar exceeded all our expectations. It is an excellent choice for solo travellers, couples and families, and in my opinion, this resort is seriously underrated.
From the moment we stepped onto the hotel premises, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, kind and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Ally, who helped my wife organise a beautiful surprise dinner for us by the beach. It was an unforgettable experience and...

Absolutely amazing! Very quiet during late July, but the staff were so lovely. Food was great, pool, rooms everything just great.
Just an absolutely perfect place. Big shout out to the lovely Venson.

Amazing place - so unique! We were lucky enough to be the only guests that night so we had our own private island! Loved the snorkelling, seeing the coconut crabs and the food was incredible. The perfect return to nature getaway

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I found my self in need of a hotel half way through my trip and opted for this one. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly safe and the hotel was lovely and peaceful. There is access to the sea at the bottom and the hotel and that’s pretty much where I ended up most days on the sun beds.
Staff were lovely, especially Sara, she goes Above and beyond her duties. She was kind enough to take time out of her schedule and go out on a tour with me. I Certainly miss the...

A wonderful stay in the heart of Stone Town!
We stayed at Emerson Spice during our trip to Zanzibar and what a fantastic place it is!
The hotel is full of character, with beautiful traditional architecture and a real sense of Zanzibar’s history. It’s completely different from your typical hotel, which is exactly what makes it so special.
The location is brilliant for exploring Stone Town, with everything within easy walking distance. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, and staying here...

One of the best things about the hotel are the helpful and very friendly staff. Rooms were clean, spacious, although a couple of minor teething problems as the hotel only opened 3 weeks ago. The staff more than made up for this though.
One of the waiters, provided endless entertainment for us both; we really enjoyed our meal even more (one thing we hadn't realised was that the hotel does not serve alcoholic beverages, which we didn't miss at all in the end!).
Pool and terrace has incredible...

A beautiful hotel, with lovely friendly happy staff, who always gave a huge morning welcome at breakfast time. Delicious healthy breakfast and the best coffee, I've tasted in a long time, I had to go back for another. I felt very safe and it's in a great location to get to/from the ferry and to walk around to the shops and restaurants.

Incredible staff nothing was too much to ensure my stay was amazing. The room was fantastic but would have liked not to have ask for the fridge or other listed things that weren’t in the room.! Main issue would be the lack of transport for solo travellers, the opportunity is there but not explored as we would love to book trips but are excluded
The location may not be suitable for many but for my stay it was perfect

Chuini is everything you'd ever wish for in a holiday destination ....and more. Great value for money. Fabulous natural setting and beach. Wonderful chic rooms. Outstanding food. Unbelievably great service. The best management couple you could ever meet. Tranquil. Mesmerising. Intoxicating. Welcoming. Would we return. Oh yes. It's the jewel in the Zanzibar crown.

Everything to be honest. All the staff were smiley and courteous, what ever their role they couldn't do enough to help. The aspect of the property was amazing and having breakfast served personally on your terrace outside your room was a great touch. The mattress was very comfy and the bathrooms were large. If in the area again I would stay again, 100%.

Wonderful relaxing resort set in beautiful gardens. Very welcoming friendly staff. Excellent food with much variety. Once a week there is a fantastic barbecue served along with a local band playing for everyone to learn some local dances. The bungalows are very most comfortable and very private. There is a wonderful jetty at the beach where you can sit and watch the sunset. Private dining is also available at the jetty or beach. Lovely hotel for couples especially honeymooners.

Wonderful! The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel is clean, the rooms are lovely, the view spectacular. From Yacinta at the front desk, to Agustino, Kelvin and Alfred in the bar and restaurant, to Chef Ali and the delicious food, every one really cared for us and wanted to make sure we were having a great time. Even the groundsmen and the housekeepers had a lovely smile and ask about your day, honestly I can't speak highly enough. A great experience, wish we didnt have to leave!
