"Dated property with a lot of potential. It seems cheaply refurbished some years ago. Some areas are nice (like the lobby) other are bit worse (rooms, hallways). Staff are really nice and there were many food options. Beautiful views, depending on the room - some might be a bit overlooked."

"The apartments are very clean. Hotel restaurants are very nice. The bathroom need a little maintenance and modernization. There was a storm brewing and the hotel just left a flyer stating stay indoors a little more information would have been beneficial. "

"Roads under construction doubled travel time - not your fault. But pounding during 10am seemed overly loud. Bothered others.
The lack of a coffee maker of Tea water warmer was quickly remedied by asking for one at front desk. But warning to future guests - bring your own coffee, AND water."

"A lovely find. Spacious bedroom. Beautiful views over the sea from the hotel and grounds and some rooms. Nice bar area serving drinks and food. Also a restaurant. The breakfast food was lovely and beautifully presented but the experience was spoiled by many of the staff who had no time for us and were often downright rude. It was a struggle to get anyone to take a hot food order (which often arrived cold). The hotel was clearly understaffed. Some of the staff were brilliant, particularly Christopher who was always friendly and helpful (and worked incredibly hard). "
Self catering Tres Pinos, Lina Medina y Anastasio for 4 people
8/10 Good
"Good little villa in an old style but in good condition, clean and comfortable and well provisioned for crockery and cutlery. Can get a bit chilly at night at this time of year but nice touch with a heater in the bedroom I chose. Good shower cubicle with good supply of hot water. On the down side I had some issues which may have been of my making so have not impacted on my score.Firstly I read and understood this villa was at Tres Pinos where I headed to from the airport. Arriving at Tres Pinos I was surprised to find 2 other rental villas but not mine. Having a name of "TRES" Pinos would expect there were 3 as indeed there were but one was privately owned. So I think the advertised heading is misleading. Having new directions I started out again, by now my mobile battery expired and no internet connection for laptop and also getting dark so stuck with no idea where I was!! Luckily I came across 2 sisters who I now call the "Heavenly Sisters" who not only helped me, but found the villa online and then lead me to it by driving there with me in tow By now dark and 4 hours after I had landed. I will always be indebted to them. On the following day I set out for some provisions and put my passport and currency in the safe. The following day the safe wouldn't open and stayed locked until the day before I left, meaning I spent most days waiting for someone to turn up. Not a fault of the host I add. And add to that I pranged the hire car so not a relaxing holiday!!!"
In front of the sea with pool and Jacuzzi with sea water, both
10/10 Excellent
"Wow! The island was beautiful and peaceful. The views from the condo were breathtaking! Everyone enjoyed and looked forward to the sunsets. Not a single store on the island, no roads or traffic, and even with storm repairs happening it was still quiet and disconnected from the busy world. Our boys loved snorkeling for conks and sand dollars, picking up shells on the beach, fishing, and playing in the sand. It felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves! The locals!!! I cannot say enough about how absolutely amazing the locals were. Some of the nicest people we’ve ever met on a vacation. EVERYONE treated each other with such kindness and respect! Our captain and his wife were so great, they felt like family. The only cons of this trip were things that will only take time to fix and everyone was working hard to restore! "
