"This was my second stay at this hotel and I much preferred the room I had the first time over the room I had for this most recent visit. There were only 2 things that were wrong with the room and both were pretty minor. The light over the microwave and coffee pot area didn't work and some of the channels came in pretty clear and others were not so much but still watchable except for the one showing a hockey game. I couldn't read names on jerseys too much and I could not see the puck. Fortunately I was able to see a more important hockey game to me at my buddy's house with him. Outside of that my only complaint is that it was a room specifically for a disabled person as everything was very low and I am am about average in height so it wasn't too bad except for when it came to the shower which was a handheld and the spot it was in came up to my lower chest area and was pretty chilly until I was ready to rinse. I will gladly go back there and stay again as I enjoy it there a lot but next time will know to make sure its not that kind of room again. When in conversation with one of the staff I also learned it was sold out for that night and appeared to have been the next night as well, I figured asking for another room was out otherwise I am sure they would have taken care of me. But I do have to be honest in my reviews to help other people and hope they do give this place a shot."

Since we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with complimentary champagne, a lovely and thoughtful touch that made our evening even more special. The hotel offers its own parking garage for guests, but there are also street parking options nearby if you prefer. If you're looking for a luxurious getaway or simply an elevated night out in Kansas City, Loews -- and a visit to Stillwell -- should be at the top of your list!"
