About this property
Blue Mountain House - Hot Tub, Grill, Fire Table
The Space:
Blue Mountain House is a warm and thoughtfully designed 3 bedroom mountain home made for relaxed Shenandoah Valley getaways. Spend your days hiking, wine tasting, or exploring nearby Skyline Drive, then come back to a comfortable cabin with cozy gathering spaces, a fully stocked kitchen, wooded surroundings, and everything you need for a peaceful stay. Outside, enjoy the private hot tub, grill, propane fire table, and covered porch. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a longer mountain retreat, it’s an easy place to settle in, reconnect, and enjoy the mountain setting together.
Inside, we wanted the home to feel warm, comfortable, and easy to enjoy from the moment you arrive. The open layout features large windows, plenty, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings, creating a relaxed setting for time together. After a day of hiking, wine tasting, or exploring the area, the living room is a cozy place to settle in with two plush sofas, extra seating, a 55" TV, and an electric fireplace.
We’ve stocked the kitchen with everything you need to enjoy meals at home, whether you’re making a quick breakfast before heading out or settling in for dinner after a day of exploring. You’ll find stainless steel appliances, a deep farmhouse sink, cookware, serving essentials, and multiple coffee options, including a Keurig, drip coffee maker, French press, and tea station. The dining area seats six and offers a comfortable place to gather over meals, coffee, or a glass of wine.
We’ve set up the bedrooms with comfort and flexibility in mind, whether you’re traveling as a family, with friends, or as a small group. The primary suite includes a king bed, lounge chair, desk, and private ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed with peaceful tree views, and the third bedroom offers two twin beds plus a desk for anyone who wants a quiet place to work or write. A second full bathroom is located off the main hallway. Families with young children will also find a pack n’ play, high chair, and other helpful kid friendly items tucked into the bedroom closets.
Outside, you’ll find some of our favorite spaces to enjoy the mountain setting. The back deck includes a propane fire table, grill, and comfortable seating, making it a great place for dinner, conversation, or a quiet evening under the trees. Just beyond the deck, the private hot tub offers a peaceful place to soak and unwind. Out front, the covered porch has rocking chairs and a bistro set, perfect for morning coffee, reading, or simply enjoying the fresh mountain air.
