"Great welcome from the front staff. Quick checkin and directions to all the amenities. We did not use the hot tub or pool. We did have the complementary breakfast before we departed and it was what we expected. Hot items with breads, muffins, etc. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming."

"I have been visiting Fernie since 2003, this is hands down the best place I’ve stayed. Seriously, it’s so nice to be downtown and able to walk everywhere, you truly get to live the Fernie lifestyle. The pictures on VRBO show exactly how I found the property, it’s truly top notch and very clean. The beds and linens were beyond comfortable. Parking is great. I met the host, he was lovely and really quick to respond online. Beanpod Chocolate, downtown Fernie is hands down the best chocolate I have ever had, plan your shopping wisely as most stores close at 4 or 5pm."

"This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a terrible smell that made it obvious the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The entire room felt dirty, run-down, and neglected. The bed wasn't even made properly, which immediately made us question whether the linens had been changed at all. There were visible signs of poor housekeeping throughout the room, and the overall condition was unacceptable. The hotel itself was in just as bad of shape as the room. Everything felt worn out, dirty, and poorly cared for. We had booked this hotel expecting a clean and comfortable place to stay, but what we found was completely different. The condition of the property was so bad that we did not feel comfortable spending even a single night there. We ended up cancelling our stay and paying for another hotel because there was no way we were going to sleep in those conditions. I am not someone who normally leaves negative reviews, but people deserve to know what they are paying for. Basic cleanliness should be the minimum standard for any hotel, and this property failed miserably. It was shocking that rooms in this condition were being rented out to guests. Save yourself the disappointment, frustration, and wasted money and book somewhere else."
