The pool was great for the kids, the small pool table / table football got lots of use and the house was really comfy, well equipped and the air con was much appreciated! "Nous avons passé une semaine en famille (4 enfants). C'est une maison régulièrement utilisée donc avec tout le confort nécessaire, y compris des jeux pour les enfants. Nos aînées ont adoré dormir dans la "cabane sous les toits". La maison est restée fraîche pendant les grosses chaleurs. La région est très belle. Une boulangerie et une boucherie dans le village. "Absolutely wonderful stay at this friendly ,well located budget hotel. Very quirky, with parking . Just a very shortealk into the quaint centre of Evreux. Having a bar and restaurant was an added bonus. Comfortable beds and great shower. I recommend if you are in this area."

"A lovely place with caveats - it is on the shore of a Seine canal - whatever gave me the impression (now I am not sure if it was a picture or in the hotel description) of a beach, was wrong. Also "free parking" offered to be taken literally or technically - it is street parking on the side of the canal; not guaranteed but seemingly hotel confident it can accomodate all guests with vehicles. we arrived late in the evening and due to the seemingly very popular restaurant on site there was zero parking; nor was there any hotel worker to give you a hint as to how to proceed - making a u turn in that narrow road with the back to the Seine was kind of a thrill but the car was a rental... In the end we were able to find a spot while one of us went inside the hotel to ask for help/info. Nobody in the reception desk. Entered the restaurant which was packed and looked very upscale, everyone was focused in working the floor, so it is run jointly by same people. After the check in we were told no other food options in the area other than Burger kig and such, so decided to eat there. We were literally the last guests in the restaurant and the chef disappeared for a while leaving our main course get cold - portions were generous if not huge and esthetically well presented but taste was mediocre, but by the time everything came to the table we had lost all appetite anyway. Breakfast was mediocreThe next morning upon checkout we noticed they had not even charged us for the 100 euro dinner! "

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We should have known something was off from the state of the building and car park. The cars all look abandoned and many have flat tyres. The hotel is like something from a horror film. Mostly unlit and feels abandoned and run down. As two females we immediately felt unsafe. This was expounded when the man on reception charged us more than the agreed price and we felt too intimidated to argue. We were shown to a room at the fair end of the hotel on a dingy corridor. The door looked like it had been jimmyed open with a crowbar at some point, the latch was loose and the door didn't lock from the inside. We asked to be moved rooms and were put in one nearer reception. We spoke to the receptionist and asked him to show us that the door couldn't be opened with the keycard when the door was locked from the inside. We put our bags on our beds and went to dinner. When we returned our bags had been moved and something had changed with the lock because you could open it from the outside with the keycard even if the door was locked from the inside so we didn't feel safe. We went to reception and said we didn't feel safe and didn't want to stay. The receptionist wouldn't refund us and phoned the manager who was abusive on the phone to us so we left. The following morning we returned to give the keycard back and get a refund. They refused because 'we'd booked online' even though we'd paid by card at the hotel. There is very wrong with this hotel. AVOID"
