Secluded Setting On French Creek In The Southern Black Hills

"This is a beautiful, peaceful property. The outdoor shower is the star of the show. We loved sitting outside listening to the creek in the backyard while deer visited. The outdoor kitchen was such a lovely spot to prepare dinner. We would stay again in a heartbeat."

"This is an excellent property. The rooms match the description. The biggest bonuses from this party include: 1. Lots of additional items that make the stay more comfortable. Grill with plenty of gas, well stocked kitchen so you can actually cook, extra camp chairs, etc. 2. Fire pit for smores 3. Large yard that allows you to throw a frisbee and let the kids runThe checkin was easy with good check in and check out instructions. We really enjoyed the property."

"Great house with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Both kids and adults enjoyed the game room. Very quiet area along lower French creek with wildlife visiting the property often. Very easy drive to Custer incase you need anything. Also, a quick way into Custer State Park wildlife loop. Due to a burn ban, we couldn't cook over the fire but there was a very nice blackstone and gas grill there for us to use. Large kitchen for food prep. You do have to go up a fight of stairs to enter the house, which might be hard for some but didn't bother us. Owner is local and very nice to work with. She definitely has a passion for the area and to be a great host. I would not hesitate to stay at any of her properties."

"Booked for July 2026. House has 4 bedrooms but only 2 full size beds, other rooms are twin or bunk beds. House was musty smelling. Only has AC in 1 room with fans, it was very hot while there and house did fell Fair but did cool off at night. Location of house is perfectly located in middle of all Black Hills attractions, which was a great fit. And just outside city of Custer. House was not real clean when we arrived. Floors and carpet dirty with dead insects and cob webs in corners. Kitchen table was dirty when I wiped off. Deck has a beautiful view, deer in back yard seen often. But owners should invest in new deck or sand it down to restain, full of splinters potential, had to be careful when walking on it or touch handrails."
