About this property

Wolf River Multi-Family Retreat | Firepit | Sleeps 14

  • Summary:

Welcome to Fremont. This newly renovated five-bedroom (sleeps 14), three-bath waterfront home sits right on heart of the Wolf River, just steps from downtown. It's a great fit for families and groups.

Catch fish off the private dock, paddle the kayaks, or cruise the river on a pontoon rental. Walk downtown for dinner, take the kids out for ice cream, or cross the street to the public library. In summer, you'll get a free show from the Webfooters Water Ski Show Team right next door.

    The Space:

This full-size home sits on a quiet, residential stretch of waterfront, with five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, so there's plenty of room for everyone to gather and relax.

The fully equipped kitchen has lots of counter space and everything you need to cook, so just bring groceries. There's plenty of seating in the living room, the dining room and at the kitchen counter, with even more out on the deck. Five comfortable bedrooms give everyone their own space, and three full bathrooms keep busy mornings running smoothly.

Outside, the private dock is a great spot to fish, swim or tie up your own boat. Enjoy the two kayaks and stand-up paddleboard, fire up the charcoal grill for a cookout, and end the evening around the Solo fire pit.

Want to get out on the river? A pontoon boat is available to rent from its owners for $275 per day, with discounts on stays of three or more days and six or more days.

    Guest Access:

The entire home is yours during your stay, including the kitchen, living spaces, all five bedrooms, three bathrooms, the deck, the yard and the private dock.

You're welcome to dock your own boat, or rent the pontoon boat through its owners. Several other boat rental options are also just down the street.

This is a self-check-in property with keyless entry, so you can come and go as you please. Your check-in instructions and personal entry code will come through Breezeway before you arrive.

The driveway fits up to four cars, and extra parking is available on the road.

Please make yourself at home, and respect any locked doors, storage areas or spaces marked private.

    The Neighborhood:

The home sits right at the edge of downtown Fremont, on a peaceful side of the river lined almost entirely with owner-occupied homes, so evenings are quiet.

In summer, the Webfooters Water Ski Show Team puts on free shows most Wednesday and Sunday evenings on the banks of the Wolf River, right next door. Watch from your own deck, or walk over and join the crowd in the bleachers.

Downtown is an easy walk away. Grab a meal at the Bridge Bar & Restaurant, a Fremont favorite on the Wolf River since 1965, or try the broasted chicken and Bloody Marys at Hotel Fremont. Wolf River Pizza Co. serves wood-fired pizza at the Fremont River Deck, and The Boathouse and The Nauti Turtle are fun riverside spots for drinks and food. For coffee, craft beer or wine, stop by Knot Tide. And don't miss Gertrude's Ice Cream, open May through October, with fresh-baked waffle cones made daily.

The Wolf River and nearby Partridge Lake are known for great fishing, including the spring and fall walleye and white bass runs. Boaters love gathering at the rock wall sandbar, and every summer the town celebrates Fremont River Days.

    Getting Around:

Uber and Lyft can be limited, if not, at all, in a small town like Fremont, so rides may take a while to arrive. If you plan to use one, we suggest booking early.

Downtown Fremont is an easy walk from the home, with restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream and the library all close by. A car is the easiest way to explore the wider area, including Waupaca, Appleton and Oshkosh. The driveway fits up to four cars, with extra parking on the road.

    Other Things to Note:

This is a waterfront home with a private dock. There's no lifeguard, so please keep a close eye on children and pets near the water at all times. Swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding are at your own risk, and we recommend wearing life jackets.

Please return the kayaks and paddleboard to their spot after each use.

The pontoon boat is rented directly through its owners, and we'll put you in touch with them. We're not responsible for pricing, maintenance or any issues with the boat. That said, the owners are wonderful and will make sure you have a great experience on the water.

Please use the charcoal grill and fire pit with care. Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure the fire and coals are completely out before going inside.

In summer, the Webfooters shows next door can draw a crowd, so expect extra activity and traffic on show nights.

Our side of the river is mostly owner-occupied homes, so please be considerate of the neighbors, especially outdoors and after 10:00 PM.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the home. If we find signs of smoking or vaping, a $250 fine will be charged. Parties and events are also not allowed.

If you notice any damage or maintenance problems, please message us through Breezeway right away so we can fix them.

    Interaction with Guests:

We want you to feel welcome and well taken care of during your stay. With keyless self check-in, you can come and go as you please and enjoy Fremont at your own pace.

Guesty handles reservation communication, including booking details and important stay information.

Breezeway is our main platform for guest communication before and during your visit. Your check-in instructions, entry code and property updates will all come through Breezeway.

If you have a question, need help or want a local recommendation, just message us through Breezeway. We're happy to help.

If you’re looking for a place, that’s roomy comfortable like home this is it. Bedding was top of the line. Kitchen lacked nothing owner. Brian stopped in a few times making sure everything was OK very accommodating all the way around. I don’t think it could be any better.

Probably the cleanest rental house we’ve stayed in! The location was great for relaxing, loved the deck and how it was shaded in the afternoon. Enjoyed watching the boats go by and fishing off the dock. Spent a couple days exploring the nearby towns. I was impressed by how organized everything was. I liked how there was plenty of cupboard space. Everything we needed for basic cooking was there. If you’re planning a fish fry or are thinking about a crockpot meal you’ll want to bring that type of cooking gear with you. Same with things like seasonings. Salty and pepper were there, we ended up grabbing the rest locally. The neighbors (Mike and Gwen) were SO NICE!
