I liked the free parking, wifi, and breakfast. The location was very convenient. I didn't like that it looked like it needed a good deep clean. The bathroom was in need of attention-- either it had suffered from water damage in the tub area or something. The water flow didn't easily change from faucet to shower head. I struggled repeatedly and then just accepted that half of the water flow would come out the faucet and half would come out the shower head. There was a piece of furniture in our room which was broken. Perhaps it was a shelf or a former case for a mini fridge. I'm not sure, but there was a shelf or something broken and sitting vertically inside the frame of this piece of furniture. We didn't use the microwave, coffee pot, safe, or anything else to know if they worked or not. The towels were very worn and a bit dingy. It would also benefit this facility to invest in new mattresses as ours bowed in the middle and was very squeaky. Overall, the place was okay for one night. However, it seems very worn out, so if you're looking for a new sparkling clean place, you might want to pass on this. The staff was friendly and professional. The free breakfast was decent and that area was clean and well stocked. Half of our family ate at 6am and the other half ate at 8am. As to be expected the 8am breakfast was packed with guests. Parking was free and easy to find a parking spot.

We were in town for a basketball tournament and just needed a place to sleep. We were pleased with the room, however, the room sleeps 4 and we only had 1 bath towel and wash cloth. There was no hair dryer in the room either. I left mine at home since it advertised that a hair dryer would be in the room. It was a basic room, no frills, which was okay for our short stay.

I have a very low bar for hotels. One is that they have hot water, especially in January. This one did not. “Hot breakfast” was dried egg shaped like little yellow dice and three sausages that looked like severed fingers. Once these ran out, they weren’t replaced. My tier is usually between $60 and $85 dollars and this was about $100.00 all in.

It was a little iffy out front when the outside hotel sign was low lighted and hard to read at night. Our room was clean, and comfortable, but the hotel’s back door lock was broken and not far from our room. Anyone could have come in.

The pool they advertise has been broken forever according to the manager who offered me my money back but after checking out early they haven’t followed through nor returned my calls which have been every day! Horrible run down place advertising things that haven’t been in use nor repaired for a very long time according to the front desk manager

There were so many bugs at the hotel all around in the rooms, hallways, breakfast area. My family and I spent the night last resort while driving through to Maryland and would have immediately left if it hadn’t been so late. My brother had ants in the waffle he made for breakfast. Would not recommend making the stop off the express to stay here. The front desk receptionist was a sweetheart though.

This was literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I’m shocked it hasn’t been shut down. The water is hard (okay, I can live with that), but they don’t even attempt to clean the rust. The entire hotel has a foul odor. The tub had a rubber mat on the bottom that was not for anti-slip, but obviously to cover the rotten/broken tub beneath. There was trim (entire pieces) missing from the vanity, holes in the wall in the sleeping area, entrance, and bathroom. The towels were yellow (originally white). The standing lamp was missing its knob and had to be plugged in and unplugged to operate (with an ancient plug that can’t even pass code). Didn’t even have the stomach to walk down to the swimming pool or stay for breakfast. I have never left a hotel review—I only leave reviews if I have a great experience somewhere. But this hotel was horrid. The only positive was the lady at the front desk was friendly. I didn’t have the heart to complain to her because it was so beyond anything she could personally address. I walked outside and there were a bunch of rooms with the curtains open along the sidewalk with lights on—so I can confirm we didn’t just get a bad room. This place looks like it sat vacant for 20 years and they just reopened without making any improvements. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. I will be sharing my experience with the County Health Department and Building Inspection Department as well. Seriously…yikes!

I stayed her twice. First time the room was dirty. Clean white socks tuned back just form walking in the room. Breakfast had no eggs, no bacon, no waffle batter. Toaster only toasted one side of the bread. Key cards would work once, then you had to take them to the front desk and get then reprogrammed.

We booked Days Inn for a birthday getaway for our twin daughters. Upon arrival we noticed the outside of the hotel was covered in bugs. To the point my daughters would not leave the car. As we sat there we also noticed that several rooms had mattresses covering up room windows. Since we arrived after 4:00, our check in time, we were out the money for our room. We found a much nicer, and newer hotel in Port Clinton.

Hi Julie. We are so sorry you did not get to stay with us! Our hotel has a 72 hour cancellation policy. So, this is why we were not able to cancel your reservation without our one-night stay penalty. Unfortunately, we tried our best with the Mayflies. They are particularly attracted to light and this lead them to swarm around our building at night. Many businesses had this issue at the time and it went on for a few days. Due to them having a very short lifespan they also died in large numbers and we did our best to sweep or blow them away from the building. Our hotel has several other entrances and we would have loved to help you with that situation if you would have brought it to our attention. As far as the mattresses, we do not have them covering windows. We were fully booked on the day of your arrival and had all rooms (and mattresses) in working order and being used. All and all, we are glad you were able to find a hotel that was more comfortable. We hope your daughters enjoyed their birthday!
