We came with a group of 5 couples and the other cottages were nice. Regrettably, we were in a cottage that needs some updating and a good cleaning. My husband and I spent one night at this property for our anniversary. The location is great and is walking distance to everything on Main Street. The cottage was cozy and clean. However, beyond that our experience was not a positive one. Shortly after arriving we realized that the fireplace didn't work. We contacted the rental office and they stated they would send housekeeping with new batteries for the remote, but no one showed up. Not a huge deal but disappointing. After returning from dinner we discovered that we had no hot water. I immediately called the rental office to report the issue and was directed by the voice recording to contact another number. I contacted the alternate number only to receive another voice mail. After three attempts, I gave up. We woke in the middle of the night to a warm, stuffy room and discovered that the wall AC unit was not working. Upon check-out, I emailed the rental office to let them know about the issues we encountered. I asked for nothing. No apology. No refund or discount of any kind.
