Perfect home
We loved our stay. A perfect location for family. The game room is perfect for a rainy afternoon or after dinner fun. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Beds were comfortable.

Charming Victorian
The house is gorgeous with several on suite bedrooms plus a half bath with laundry. The furniture was comfortable especially the beds. We loved sitting out on the front porch in the afternoons and on the back patio in the mornings. The property had an abundance of games and books which we enjoyed. The kitchen and bedrooms were well stocked. The house is a half mile from Main Street in Fredericksburg where there were numerous restaurants and shops to peruse. It was our family reunion and all of us enjoyed the property.

Prompt resolution
There was some difficulty getting into the room upstairs. After a few quick texts and the correct lock combo we were able to open the room. The property was just as pictured. Perfect for families and couples!

family Christmas weekend
We had 12 family members from Grandparents all the way down to grade schoolers and we all enjoyed this vintage house. Full kitchen, plenty of separate bedrooms, hot tub in back yard, and game room were big hits. Also very close to downtown Fredricksburg and many activities.

Missed the Mark
We had a large group of family and friends with kids, so we spent a lot of time searching for the perfect listing to fit our sleeping situation. This listing fails to mention the room with 2 full beds is only accessible from the outdoor stairs. Since we couldn’t let the kids (ages 3-8) stay upstairs we had to rearrange the sleeping situation, which wasn’t ideal. Accessing the house was a mess. There are so many lockboxes and codes and keys it’s too confusing to remember. Also, the doors don’t always lock and open easily. We didn’t have the code for the loft at check in so we had to text the owner, who responded promptly. Other mishaps include- not enough TP, roaches, moldy plate of food under the sofa from a previous guest, door knobs kept falling off, nail sticking out of the floor and my daughter cut her foot, there was a bag of chemicals in the backyard to catch flies and it smelled horrible, you couldn’t go outside because it smelled like a dead animal. The location is great, but unfortunately the amenities missed the mark.

Gorgeous and FUN House!
We really loved the property. It had plenty of space for all 11 of us and the bedroom layout worked well for a few couples with having king and queen beds. The kitchen and kitchen table fit all of us so that was perfect. The game room with foosball and ping pong and lots of games to choose from which we took full advantage of was awesome!! A lot of charm throughout! My only complaints were the listing was confusing which stated there was “pay for parking for 6”. There is plenty of free parking. If needed you could probably park 8 cars. Also communicating through the other platform not VRBO wasn’t as smooth but my questions were answered at the end so all went well. We would definitely use that property again if we found ourselves with a large group traveling to that area.

Vintage Charm
The house has real charm and the owner put a LOT OF EFFORT into making it a fun and interesting place to stay. We had 4 adults and 3 kids 8 to 13 years old and the house offered enough space to gather as a family as well as provide several places just to get away. The house is located about 2-3 minutes from the center of downtown as well as the main roads that will take you to all the sights around Fredericksburg. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but the large lots and trees offered a reasonable amount of privacy when sitting on the front porch. It is a corner lot but the neighborhood traffic was light and we really enjoyed our evenings on the front porch. The hot tub and court yard were completely secluded from the outside and the strings of Edison lights in the big tree really added to the atmosphere. A small table for food & drinks would have been a nice addition. The inside of the house was very clean and there were plenty of towels, dishes, and utensils for a large family. The beds were all comfortable and gave you a very welcoming feeling. They were out of dishwasher and laundry soap and low on toilet paper, but we came prepared. The Wi-Fi speed was on the slow side and will not reach much past the game room/kitchen area. Overall we really enjoyed the unique atmosphere, comfort and entertainment that this house offered and it really added to the overall small town feeling that Fredericksburg is all about.
