Summary: Welcome to Harley House, Fredericksburg’s newest luxury rental! This warm and inviting home in the historic district is just minutes away from Main Street shopping, wine-tasting rooms, and restaurants and is the ideal place to have a cozy and comfortable stay! The Space: Warm and welcoming from the outside, you’ll immediately notice the red front door. Early American traditions believe that red doors symbolize “welcome,” and Harley House will indeed feel like your home away from home. Curl up on the couch and enjoy the warmth and glow of the electric fireplace while watching your favorite movie or show. Or, if you’re in the mood to socialize, the open floor plan is ideal for entertaining family and friends. Entering the bright and cheery kitchen, you are drawn to the classic white cabinets with transparent glass doors that make finding glassware and plates a breeze. There is also plenty of countertop space and all stainless steel appliances. If you choose to dine in during your stay, the farmhouse-style dining table seats up to six comfortably. Classic french doors off the living room lead into the first bedroom; there is no need to worry about privacy as there are curtains you may close on the inside doors. The second bedroom is just down the hall; as you enter this bedroom, a warm-hearted quote adorns the wall in memory of the owner's father. In the hallway between these two bedrooms is a bathroom with a large spacious walk-in shower. The third bedroom is on the other side of the house, right off the kitchen. This bedroom features a large en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity. Comfortable king beds, luxury linens, and unique lighting fixtures create ambiance in each bedroom. Your favorite space may be the backyard patio surrounded by a charming white picket fence. When it is time to unwind after a fun-filled day on the town, grab a drink, step out the back door onto the patio, and soak in the hot tub under the stars. When weather permits, there is a gas grill and outdoor dining table for you to enjoy. Harley House is an extraordinary home you will not want to leave! Guest Access: ✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional. The house was very nicely renovated and the owner thought of everything to have on hand. Don’t want to spend too much money going out to eat during your stay? No problem, the kitchen has you covered. The bathrooms are beautiful and the linens are nice too. Their is a king size bed in each room, so no fighting over which couple gets the bigger bed. The electric fireplace and wall mounted TV in the living room makes it feel like home when you want a night in to snuggle on the sofa for a movie. If you have to have bedroom ceiling fans and/or tv, you may be a little disappointed, but the ambiance of the rooms makes up for it and the heat/air works well. The jacuzzi was nice too, enough room for the whole family. The property is a little off the beaten path of town, but you can still make the walk to Main St. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone who is very picky, like us!! ##### Rob and Julie A. Location was about .5 miles to Main Street - would be easy to walk to but some streets have no sidewalks, so probably best to drive to town. Nice streets to explore via running as well. House is on quiet street; very comfy couch for watching TV (Netflix provided) or fireplace; beds pretty comfortable (master bed seemed a little less soft than the other two, but they are all the same beds, so might be just newer). Great long table in kitchen/dining area - would be perfect for groups (we were only 2 guests) and fully stocked kitchen with both wine glasses and regular glasses, plates, silverware, cooking utensils & pots/pans, etc. Also included games & puzzles. Had a little issue with the second bathroom, which didn't get resolved before we left. Overall, management kept in touch before we checked in & after we arrived. Note to management - master bedroom door doesn't close all the way - may need to be shaved down or something; wasn't a problem for us but if multiple couples staying there, might be an issue. Also some vents were very dusty/dirty, so cleaners can check those before next guests show up. Good location to stay for visiting town or going to Enchanted Rock (maybe 20-30 minutes away depending if traffic). Made for a relaxing sisters trip - started each morning drinking lemon water/coffee at the outside table. Didn't use the hot tub but if you like those, it's in a private corner right outside the kitchen. ##### Robin L. It has great proximity to Main with a fully stocked kitchen. The beds are plush and comfy, but there aren’t any ceiling fans in any of the bedrooms. Loved the decor and finishing touches on the appliances. Communication with housing management was not very efficient. I tried contacting the host prior to arrival to see about adjusting the check in times and guest count but never received a message back. When we first arrived, the ac was set to 70 but never got below 75, reaching out to the house management was way more difficult than it should have been. Had to call several times for someone to answer and then got put through to an automated message. Eventually got ahold of a representative and they sent a maintenance person out to the house that night to look at it. Then the following day they came and replaced the air filter which was all that was needed. But getting through to someone and having them respond in a timely manner was very poor. Part of the problem is that I thought this house was being managed by a couple or a family and not a company that owns multiple houses in the area, so I can imagine how response time would be slow when managing several houses all at once. ##### Elizabeth B.
