Clean, great location to walk downtown Fredericksburg. The fenced dog proof yard and hot tub made this place perfect! Loved all the old furnishings and it felt like a true get away
This place is just wonderful! You are within walking distance to Main Street for shopping and dining while being far enough away that it's quiet at night. The hot tub was such a nice touch and the yard was perfect for our dog. Can't wait to go back!
Great old home refurbished and extremely clean. Quiet clean neighborhood. Enjoyed the hot tub. Great front porch. Enjoyed the close proximity to all the events on Main Street.
We had the best time here , such a great location . House was perfect and we loved the fact that we could walk anywhere and the town is soo much fun. Thank you !

Perfect Location! Lovely historical home!
We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Fred Haus! It is a perfect location for walking to all the shopping on Main Street! And it is very quiet and peaceful at night! Very cozy for 2 people! Nice little fenced yard. Our medium-size 5 yr old doggie loved it too! The kitchen could use a bit more lighting and the tub/shower is tight. But for a very old stone home - they did a wonderful job!
Our 1st experience with House rental and it was just awesome! Clean, comfy, and just a fun place to be! Thank you Elaine for waiting on us hand and foot! Hope to be back soon!
We loved our stay at Fred Haus! The location was perfect, and even though it was on a main road, we didn't hear a lot of traffic. The bedroom is on the side farthest from the road so it was very quiet.
The home is so cozy and comfortable and had everything you could need. The hot tub was nice but is getting a bit old. There is off road parking which was very convenient. We would absolutely stay here again.
The house was perfect. We decided to cook in rather than eating out the whole time and after a trip to HEB we were set. The hot tube was nice in the evenings. I loved the native landscaping and got to see a few hummingbirds and butterflies. We hope to plan another trip this fall when it is a little cooler.

Charming
We loved the charm and character of the Fred Haus. The house was very clean and it was the perfect location to walk to Main St. While technically private, the hot tub is in view of the front porch of the house next door so we didn't use it. The mattress on the guest bed also needs to be replaced as there was a large dip in the middle of the bed. We would absolutely stay here again though!
We enjoyed our stay at Fred Haus! The location was perfect! The house was well-appointed but with just a few comments. The king size mattress is not comfortable. And the shower situation is not ideal given that the shower curtain gets stuck to you as you try to maneuver in the claw-foot tub. Plus the hot water only lasts so long. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and love Fredericksburg!
Very charming house and 1.5 blocks from the downtown area. Loved the stone walls mixed it with the antique wood floors, doors etc.
Front porch was wonderful however it needed a good sweeping which I gave it. The bedroom with The quaint antique closet was wonderful. However the bed was lower at the head than the feet - made for interesting sleeping. I tried to get under it and adjust it as I could see the support pillar was sideways but couldn’t lift the bed enough by myself to solve the problem.

One little issue. When we folded the blankets down on the bed there were little black hairs on the side of the bed next to the window. I would have changed snd washed the sheets but didn't see an extra set. It was also to late to call. The bed smelled clean so I brushed them out and went to bed.
Loved the house and will definitely stay again.

Probably time for mattress change. Probably shouldn't have reserved for so many nights without knowing whether mattress had been maintained. The downpour sat pm caused the spa cover to drop a lot of material into spa but was enjoyable prior to that. May be time to replace cover? Or a cover's cover if exposed to elements. Thanks

My sister and I recently planned a trip to Fredericksburg. I looked for the perfect Air &B and I would say the FredHouse was so wonderful. We were able to walk downtown and shop and the house was in the perfect location for just that. The house had everything we needed, was clean, private, and quiet. Loved sitting on the porch in the cute rocking chairs relaxing in the mornings. There were only a few things that could use improvements. The shower was the main inconvenience. It’s cute because it’s a clawfoot tub but the shower curtain doesn’t close all the way and sticks to you when showering. I’m a small woman and felt really uncomfortable. It would be really difficult for a larger person to successfully take a shower without getting water everywhere. The other thing was the remote control was really difficult to use. We were never able to turn the volume up or down. The bed also wasn’t the most comfortable but was still able to sleep on it. Otherwise our stay was very nice. Thanks for a lovely time.

Absolutely charming!
Loved all the plants outside and the way the yards are designed. There still being flowers and butterflies in October was nice. Same with the furnishings inside. Perfectly placed unique pieces.
