We encountered some issues during our stay, and I want to be fair and upfront and say that hotel staff addressed our issues quickly and they were great, but it was disappointing that we encountered these things at all.
The lobby and breakfast area are sleek and clean and the staff all seemed great. But my room was on the first floor (one above ground), facing the street, and it was SO noisy. Between people partying, shouting at each other, trams going by, etc. it was impossible to sleep even with the windows shut. The room was also very outdated, with the carpet pulling away from the walls, stained faux leather bedframe, and a strange grate-type square carved out of the ceiling.
On the first day I went to take a shower, the shower didn't work. I was visiting for business so I didn't have time to spare. The shower was fixed quickly and the concierge found me an empty room I could use to shower in in the meantime but this was aggravating.
A few days into my stay, I used the last bit of toilet paper right before I left for the day. When I got back, housekeeping had tidied up my room but not left any toilet paper so I had to get some from the concierge. And on my last day, housekeeping didn't provide any fresh towels. Some days I got one fresh hand towel, one fresh bath towel, and a fresh bath mat (having showered every day), some days I got two of each except the bath mat, then the last day I got none.
All in all, I was grateful that the staff was friendly and helpful.
