The Space:  
  
Tucked into the tranquil hills just off iconic M-22, Scenic Escape offers a serene and inviting home base surrounded by Northern Michigan’s best. Designed for relaxation, the home features an open main-level layout, high ceilings, and abundant natural light—creating a bright, airy space perfect for unwinding.  
  
The home includes four comfortable bedrooms: three with king beds and large closets for easy clothing storage, and a fourth with two twin beds—perfect for kids or additional guests. The spacious dining room invites shared meals and conversation, while the cozy, serene living room is ideal for quiet evenings in. A full-size washer and dryer make extended stays a breeze.  
  
Step outside to a small deck where you can enjoy morning coffee and our wooded setting. The attached garage has been transformed into a casual game room with a small club-size ping pong/pool table, and a dartboard is located just inside the adjacent vestibule. You’ll also find a yoga mat and foam roller for your wellness routine.  
  
For outdoor adventure, Scenic Escape is stocked with three kayaks—enough for four people—plus two adult and two youth life vests. You're just minutes from Lake Michigan’s breathtaking beaches, including Green Point Dunes and Trailhead, the scenic Betsie River, and the championship fairways of Arcadia Bluffs. Crystal Mountain offers year-round recreation, while downtown Frankfort—just a short drive or bike ride away—serves up local shops, dining, and arts along the stunning lakeshore.  
  
Whether you’re here to recharge or explore, Scenic Escape blends solitude with easy access to Northern Michigan’s most iconic experiences.

\- No events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted.   
  
\- Minimum booking age is 25\.   
  
To help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide all reservations with damage protection. The cost for Safely is $55 for 1-29 nights, $299 for 30-59 nights, $389 for 60-89 nights, and $479 for 90-119 nights. All reservations will initially be charged a $55 Safely Damage Insurance Fee. For stays longer than 29 nights, the additional charges will be processed after booking. All reservations are subject to the guest agreement terms, conditions, and fees.  
  
Guest Access:  
  
This property features self-check-in. Check-in is permitted between 4:00 pm. - 10:00 pm. Guest are responsible for having their check-in instruction before arrival. Check-in instructions are sent after completing our guest check-in form and agreeing to our terms of service. The home's property address will also be sent separately 72 hours prior to check-in.

Other Things to Note:  
  
Guests are provided with a small amount of the basic essentials including 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 laundry pods, 2 dish pods, a full dish soap dispenser, and full soap dispensers in each bathroom, and basic cleaning supplies. Guests are not to use the host's inventory of bulk supplies left at the property and should be prepared to supply their own as needed for longer stays.  
  
CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:  
  
• November–April: Set the heat/thermostat to 55 degrees and close the blinds.  
  
• May–October: Shut off all systems and close the blinds.  
  
• Strip beds (not mattress pads) and pile all sheets and towels on the floor near the washer.  
  
• Start a load of towels in the washer (if applicable).  
  
• If you used more than 2 shower towels, hand towels, or washcloths per person, please wash, dry, and put the excess away before checking out (if applicable).  
  
• Dispose of all food. No food or beverages should be left inside the property.  
  
• Put all trash in the garbage bin. Trash instructions are noted in your Guest Guide link. If your stay falls on or within 48 hours of trash day, please take the trash to the road.  
  
• Put patio cushions back (if applicable).  
  
• All dishes must be washed, dried, and put away. Dirty dishes may result in a $100 additional guest cleaning fee.  
  
• Turn off all lights.  
  
• Lock the door.

Perfect location as we were in town to visit family on Lower Herring Lake. Maybe could use some splits in bottom bedrooms but other than that the house was perfect. Clean, kitchen was wellstocked.
