The apartment has been converted from the original pig sty and wood store buildings. The living area includes a designer sofa and provides a relaxing space in which to unwind in the evenings. The bright master bedroom features a large window with views out over the courtyard garden towards the fruit orchard. The single bedroom has plenty of space for either a cot or could be used as a dressing room if rented by a couple. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms (providing either cold or warm air depending on the weather). Masseria Giulio is listed as a regionally important building dating from the early seventeenth century. It started life as a chapel serving the local farm workers before being used as a convent and then a monastery. During the eighteenth century it was converted into a masseria (walled farmhouse). It remained a working farm producing olives, olive oil, vegetables and fresh milk, cheese and meat from the animals (cows, sheep, goats and pigs) homed in the stable block until the late 1980s when it fell into disrepair. We have completed a full restoration of the property using local artisan builders and craftsmen and have converted the old stables and farm buildings into holiday apartments. We have five self-contained apartments (1 one bedroom and 4 two bedrooms) which have their own well equipped kitchen, inside dining and living areas and outside patio areas. The apartments have been designed to provide stylish, high quality accommodation with designer furnishings to allow you to relax, unwind and enjoy this fabulous corner of Italy. The farmhouse garden (approx. 600 square metres) is surrounded by a high dry stone wall and has been fully landscaped with an array of beautiful plants including roses, birds of paradise, cannas, bouganvillia and cacti. We have an orchard containing apricot, lemon, orange, nectarine, pomegranate, plum, cherry, kiwi, mulberry, pear, apple, fig and cedra trees. We also grow a wide variety of our own organic vegetables. Guests are welcome to use our produce during their stay. De gastheer en gastvouw zijn beide zeer begaan met het welbehagen van hun gasten en doen al het mogelijke om ze een onvergetelijke vakantie bezorgen. Dat begint al met de ontvangst en het daarbij overhandigde welkomst-pakket. De appartementen zijn schoon, ruim en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Ook al ben je net aangekomen dan mis je niets, Thee, koffie, iets te eten of zelfs een heerlijke fles wijn, het stond allemaal klaar. Dan moet je vakantie nog beginnen! Masseria zelf is met veel zorg opgeknapt en wordt geweldig onderhouden. Tuin is spik en span, het zwembad heerlijk en de rust weldadig. Dus als je genoeg hebt van alles wat de omgeving en Italie je daar te bieden hebt (hoe zou dat eigenlijk kunnen?), dan kan je hier in alle rust nog nagenieten. Au coeur de belles plantations d'oliviers, au calme, cette belle masseria avec sa piscine impeccable dotée de chaises longues et de grands parasols, son jardin ornemental et son potager, ses barbecues, invite à des vacances reposantes! L'accueil de Ian et Lucy qui parle un très bon français, est chaleureux, avec de bonnes attentions gustatives à notre arrivée! Ils sont tout à fait disponibles pour donner des informations sur la région, même si beaucoup figurent déjà dans le grand cahier de chaque appartement. L'appartement, justement, décoré avec goût, climatisé, est fonctionnel et bien agencé : une salle d'eau/wc pour chaque chambre! Et la terrasse pour les repas! Cette situation centrale au sud des Pouilles, permet la visite des trulli et d'Alberobello, de Lecce, de Gallipoli, Ostuni, Otranto...et même Matera! et de profiter de l'Adriatique ou de la mer Ionienne! Petit plus, le potager est à disposition de tous. Le mardi soir, c'est soirée dégustation de vin avec un excellent repas proposé par les propriétaires. Ian und Lucy haben hier ihren eigenen perfekten Traum verwirklicht. Die fünf Ferienwohnungen wurden erst 2016 eröffnet, ebenso wie der wunderschöne Pool. Hier kann man wunderbar entspannen und gegen den spätenNachmittag eine der vielen fantastischen Städte und Dörfer der näheren Umgebung besuchen. Aperitivo und lecker Essen in stielvoller Umgebung.
