"This property has three buildings you can stay in. We stayed in the Makai which I highly recommend. It is the building closest to their on-property luau: Legends of Hawai’i, has a great pool with a fun slide, is where the dolphin cove and lagoon are, there is a poolside bar, a grille restaurant by the lagoon, Kona coffee shop, Big Island Market for souvenirs or sunscreen, fitness center, spa, and is near the parking lot. You can request an ocean view room and you’ll be able to see the ocean and possibly the dolphin cove. The property is near two market place shops (Kings & Queens) and is convenient to the Kona airport."

But they didn't just feel like accommodation hosts to us—over the course of our stay, they truly became friends. Sharing conversations and laughs with them honestly made our trip that much better. They are the heartbeat of this beautiful property. Spectacular Rooms & Stunning Grounds The property itself is an absolute dream. The grounds are meticulously landscaped, lush, and vibrant, perfectly capturing the tropical essence of Kona. Walking through the gardens feels like a peaceful escape. As for the accommodations, the rooms were spectacular—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation. Waking up here and watching the sunset in the evenings was pure magic. If you want breathtaking views, luxurious and comfortable rooms, and a level of hospitality that makes you feel like family, Mango Sunset B&B is the only choice. We left with beautiful memories and lifelong friends."

"This is an exceptional property, large, expansive and beautifully integrated into the landscape. The staff is exceptional and will impress you from the moment of your arrival. The rooms are nicely decorated in an authentic, local character. We only dined at one restaurant, ULU, and it was excellent. This experience was first class all the way."

"a better description about the two showers would have been helpful-one shower is indoor and the other shower is outdoor. thankfully many of us didn't mind using the outdoor showeralso, it might be nice to know that the only walls that are floor to ceiling are those in the bathroom/toilet area (it's hard to tell by the pictures that the bedroom walls don't go to the ceiling)some notes for the owner-you may want to supply face towels (there were only bath and hand towels), the blankets smelled musty (even after washing and using dryer sheets), several of the screens need repair (holes where mosquitoes/bugs get in), the sliding screen doors don't match up well so mosquitoes/bugs get in, we found two centipedes inside the house. i realize we are in hawaii where insects are abundant however any measures to limit critters inside would be nice."

"I am grateful that this was available for a "late" booking. We were provided everything that we needed, and then some, for a much needed vacation, away from downtown at a great price. Communication was great when an issue arose, that had an quick and easy resolution. Although the other rooms were also booked, everyone was respectful of posted quiet hours and all of the available parking spaces available. I hope to return and get one of the spaces with the ocean views!!!"

"All the little extras, a small cooler, indoor toys for the kids and beach toys. Quiet neighborhood. Clean and welcoming home. Washer and dryer was a big plus! Only thing to consider is the bunk beds are right next to front door, which still worked out for us when we switched places with the kids with a couple of adults. Great place to stay and would definitely recommend "
