Fort Osage

The bathroom faucet did not have very much water coming out and the shower curtain was kind of weird

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in in years. Will never return.

So disappointed with my stay at the InterContinental Hotel in Kansas City! I was given a one-bedroom room with a balcony that faced a wall. The room appeared to be accessible, with several grab bars in the shower, but the main issue was the poor drainage—the tub filled with water while I showered. The service was equally disappointing. From the front desk staff to our waitress, everyone seemed disengaged and unwelcoming. The steam room and sauna also seemed to be neglected, as though these amenities were no longer a priority. I tried to figure out how to operate them but had no success. This was especially disappointing because they were among the main reasons I selected this hotel. I have stayed at the InterContinental before, which made the hotel’s current condition and level of service even more disappointing. I chose not to raise these concerns during my stay because I wanted to maintain a positive mood and enjoy my trip. However, the overall experience fell far short of my expectations.
