"Louis (concierge desk) is very attentive and helpful ...a very pleasant person... I wish all staff were like him.... Breakfast can definitely improve,never ready at 7:30 like advertised, and more courteous staff will be a nice touch.. I did notice a different treatment between English speakers and Spanish or Portuguese speakers...(Unfortunately) Air conditioning is almost inexistente at least in my room 403 The place need a urgent lifting, doors, Mattress,bathrooms, elevators.... I do understand that the decor its purposefully kept on the antique side but still it could be done without loosing that side... The hotel in general its ok but far from great at least not until some kind of renovation and staff training its done... But it has so much potential to be a great ...a really great hotel....then I won't hesitate to come back..."

"We had a great stay! The home was super clean, spacious, and stocked with things you would expect like towels, hair dryer, and kitchen supplies. The location was in a nice neighborhood—the home was high enough to have a the view of the Atlantic Ocean, and the host made us feel so welcome. Communication was awesome, and anytime we needed something, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating.Just a quick heads-up for future guests: the photos in the listing seem a bit AI-enhanced, so the actual house has a little more everyday wear and tear than it shows online.Even with those visual differences, the amazing hospitality, cleanliness, and location made this a true five-star experience for us. Highly recommend!"

"We had a great time at Ana’s house! The pool was a saviour in the heat wave. Ana provided us with a fan to keep cool at night and was very responsive in all communication. The house was perfect for what we needed: clean and comfortable. The location was great- walkable to the water and to restaurants. Would definitely recommend!"

"We enjoyed our stay overall and loved the location. The property is a unique guest apartment on a beautiful family estate, and it was a great base for exploring Cascais, Sintra, and the Atlantic coast. Afonso was extremely responsive on WhatsApp, check-in was easy, and we appreciated being able to drop our bags before check-in and start exploring.There were a few minor issues that kept this from being a higher rating. The apartment does not have air conditioning, which we expected, but there was also no fan. Even a simple fan would make a huge difference, as the room became warm and stuffy at night. The bed was also a bit small and not particularly comfortable for two adults.We also experienced a noticeable ant problem and had to keep all food in the refrigerator. Some pest control would help. Because the windows needed to stay open for airflow, we also dealt with some insect bites during our stay.The hosts have two friendly dogs on the property. We love dogs, but one would bark whenever we walked up the driveway, especially later at night. It wasn't aggressive, just a little surprising.Overall, we had a great time and would consider staying again. With a fan, some pest control, and a little more guest privacy, this could easily be a 4.5 star stay."

"At first, we were completely surprised at the property. It is a combo hotel/hostel/community center, etc. However, it turned out to be one of our favorite places we stayed! The room was clean and bright. The free breakfast was a bonus and we were literally across the street from the beach. There was a secure parking lot and everything felt very safe. "
