Peaceful setting The Sand at Ocean Palms Retreat is a beautifully renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bath, second floor apartment located mid-island with canal views and tranquil neighborhood. Two blocks to the beach mid-way between two beach access points. Canal views from the windows and balconies. Manatee, dolphin, and palm trees galore from your kitchen, dining, living room and balcony of your unit. Fully equipped kitchens with a Keurig Coffee Machine, additional seating for guests, Dishwasher, Rain Shower heads and spa shower panels where equipped. Hotel style five star linens and towels complement our comfortable surrounds so you can unwind and relax in style. High speed internet, WiFi, Alexa, streaming music and lookup features, 4k streaming smart TV, coded door locks and smart thermostat capabilities, Remote fan and light controls, Recessed lighting with dimmer controls add to the mood setting enjoyment of your stay. Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples are all modern cities with plenty of shopping, dining and sightseeing to experience. The South West International Airport in Fort Myers is close by for convenience as well. Pet friendly restrictions and fees apply. Property was clean and well maintained. Outdoor screened balcony was a bonus. Gas grill was very handy. View off the screened balcony was lovely. The only drawback was the TV. The owner used a YouTube app as the only TV access. The app crashed often and the local management came out to fix it four times. Due to high inconsistency they should not list this property as having dependable TV. Other than that, we would recommend this property to others. This is a four-unit property, with two upstairs units, two smaller downstairs unit, and a shared washer and dryer. We stayed in one of the upstairs units and could hear normal conversation and TV noise from the unit below us. The unit we rented had damaged screens (one missing and three torn), lights that either did not work or were burned out, a heat pump that blew out cold air, and a shower with a large hole in the tile. The WiFi in the upstairs unit was nonexistent for the better part of a day and intermittent the rest of the time (making it difficult to watch TV since there is no cable). Forget about a WiFi signal on the screened porch. Outside of plates and silverware, kitchen supplies were minimal--four drinking glasses, one wine glass, no corkscrew or bottle opener, and one small cooking pot. On the plus side, the appliances are new and the place was relatively clean (other than the stove). Towels and bedding are plentiful. The office staff of the management company was very responsive, even during off-hours. The beach is about a five-minute walk, and there is a decent restaurant within a 20-minute walk. Traffic on the island, and SW Florida in general, is a mess, so be prepared to spend a lot of time in the car if you go into town or off the island during the day. ##### Rick D. We had a great time at this unit. It was really clean, had good supplies for the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The location was great, about half way b/w Times Square and Lover's Key. The neighborhood was quiet, had great views up the canal and was just a short walk from the beach. We'd definitely rent this one again! ##### Jeff W.
