Sand and Surf, you need a nice sign on your building! My Uber driver couldn't even find it at first. Also, REALLY important, there isn't a single dresser of drawers in the room! We had to basically live out of our suitcases -- except for the things we could hang. And it looked so sparse without a bureau of any kind - so strange - just a long bare wall under the TV. It was clean and a quick walk to the beach across the street. AND a short enough walk to the Pier for restaurants and a couple shops. The pool is small but clean. Website shows about 6 lovely turquoise loungers - there are only 4 gray ones. And no umbrella -- it could be prettier out there. My adult daughter and I really enjoyed Pompano! We would consider coming back to Sand and Surf too -- but please put a dresser of drawers in the rooms! That would be awesome. ;-)

ROACHES! DO NOT STAY HERE! As the receptionist was checking me and ran my credit card, a ROACH crossed the table in front of both of us as we were sitting down! I immediately jumped up and said, “Is that a roach?” She says YES! I could tell she was a little spooked and grossed out too. I immediate told her that I did not want to stay there and asked what I needed to do in order to cancel my two night reservation. She stated that I needed to take it up with Expedia because because that’s who I booked the reservation through. After going back-and-forth on the phone with the hotel, I eventually spoke with Sofia/Sophia who stated the hotel would only refund me for one night and they were charging me for the first night since the card was already charged! Really? Who would want to stay in a place that has roaches crawling right in front of me? Get real! Trust me when I tell you, do not stay here unless you wanna bring some roach friends home with you! I never write reviews but I could t let this one go, especially because they did not refund me for both nights, only one! Garbage!

The location is awesome. Easily walkable to the beach, shopping, and dining. The property is a older but exterior is maintained. Pool looked great but we hit the beach instead. Our unit, #2, had issues. First, the TV didn't work nearly the entire time. It would turn on but no picture. We got it to work once for about 20 minutes and then the screen died, never to work again. A/C would start dripping water on to the tile floor after about 15 min of use. Annoying sound: splash, splash, splash. Put some towels under it to deaden the sound. My wife doesn't mind it warm so we ended up just not using it, but that just left the room humid and musty. Room held a constant 77 degrees without AC. The rooms aren't well insulated from outside noise, though, noise from other units was minimal. No blackout curtains so light infiltration can wake you up very early. The appliances all worked fine and we're nice to have. Also, no full length mirror anywhere. Overall, think of an older Motel 6 quality. We wouldn't stay there again but didn't hate the stay either.
