Highway A1A (our cross-street) is the primary, ocean road that runs from Miami north thru Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach. Fort Lauderdale's primary nightlife and beach-front restaurants are only a 2 kilometer (1+ mile) walk/drive from our street. The famous Galleria Mall with exclusive stores is a 1 mile drive while Sawgrass Mall with hundreds of outlet stores is 30 minutes away. Supermarkets, movie theaters, golf, restaurants, and nightlife are all short drives from our house while Downtown Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas Boulevard is a great venue for art stores, boutiques, nightlife, and high-end restaurants. Boating/fishing excursions, jet skiing, and parasailing are all offered nearby on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The port for the major cruise lines out of Fort Lauderdale is a 10 minute drive while the Fort Lauderdale International Airport is a short 15 minute drive from our house. Household Amenities: Our house has a few extra amenities for both children and adults. There is a removable safety fence encircling the pool to prevent accidents for small children. A very important safety feature that allows children to play in the backyard without fear they accidentally fall into the pool. We also have a wide array of children's toys, children's books, board games and card games as well as a Playstation for video games. The beach was great and safe for the kids to move to and from the beach and house without concern. We rented a car and it was an easy drive up Sunrise blvd to get to a Publix or the huge Sawgrass outlet mall. The house was dated but clean and well kept. Location is great, right across the street from the beach with many restaurants, supermarkets, cafes nearby. The house was great, plenty of room, kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and flatware. Pool area was lovely with comfortable seating and was maintained for us during our stay. Craig is a great host, very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. ##### Alice L. The location. near the beach and within walking distance of the park, restaurants, shops etc was perfect. Craig is the best host I have ever worked with. Location is key. One minute walk to sunrise every morning. Gorgeous. Pool was warm although entire pool area was shaded all the time; this house could be improved with a few less trees by the pool although they and the tropical plants were certainly beautiful. Including tons of kids toys for the house and the beach. It's a very quick walk to the ocean and in a more quieter area. Craig was an amazing host and went above and beyond. We will be back.
