The project originated when the founders had the idea to re-create their dream destination in their own Florida home town. The name came about when they first experienced the site and saw the extraordinary greenery, “Tierra Iluminada” were their first words that came to mind. The space The house was restored thoughtfully with great attention to detail in a rustic-minimalist style, it emits naturalness and visual peace. Without losing the Ft Lauderdale urban essence, Casa Terra Lumi is a magical transportation to the sum of unique spaces the owners have traveled to around the world, each space full of light, beautiful tree shadows and calming bird chirping sounds, which inspire peace and tranquility. From its enjoyable outdoor areas, to having supper under the trees; an open rustic kitchen with arched walls and exposed wood beams; its 2 spacious rooms with private bathroom, and Zen Den area with beautiful views of the garden. Each space has its own character. Its minimalist architecture, the plaster of the walls, the built-in furniture , wood and linen, the exposed wood beams (original to the 1950’s house) and the Mediterranean terra-cotta ceramic tiles define the character of this very special abode. A large turfed garden, with lush trees, sun loungers and a small wood jacuzzi surround the dreamy hideaway. Guest access All areas of the house are accessible to our guests. Feel free to enjoy our premises as long as you are mindful of the well being of the property! Other things to note Relax sit back and enjoy your stay! Please be conscious of the space. We are available by phone, email or text if something ever comes up. A women knew the keypad and walked into the home to look for a knife in the kitchen then proceeded to use the restroom. She could have knocked. Carlos did not inform me of this beforehand and I had my child with me, she was scared. The uninvited woman said she “forgot something” but I believe she knows the owner and wanted to see what I was doing as she was asking questions that was none of her business. Overall, the home was nice, rustic and a big backyard. Carlos also failed to mention there was another rental in the shed out back until we had a conversation on the phone.
