Great home base to explore the Davis Mountains
With a family member visiting from the UK, we were looking for a spot from which to explore the wide open spaces of the Davis Mountains. This home was just the place. Amazing views from the porch were great for those not looking for so much activity, and the home is conveniently located for those wanting to check out the Davis Mtns State Park, McDonald Observatory, Fort Davis, or the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute. The kitchen was thoughtfully supplied and made cooking for 4 for the visit easy. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great Location for a Stay in Fort Davis
We planned a trip to the McDonald Observatory, which was a perfect location for our stay in Fort Davis, Texas. The property was very clean, spacious and comfortable, and it was close to the observatory, Fort Davis, Davis, and Marfa. The host helped answer our questions and provide information about the area. We were very happy with our stay and would book again the next time we are in the area!

West Texas Getaway
This property was spectacular. Amazing view of the mountains and you can see the observatory. Very clean with great accommodations. The kitchen is well stocked, it has great wi-fi and was spacious and comfortable. The owner had very good communication and there are instructions for everything you need.. We used the house as a jumping off point for visiting Fort Davis, Marfa, Alpine, Terlingua, Marathon, Lajitas, and both Big Bends. This was really a great property and location to have a West Texas adventure. Would definitely stay here again.

Quaint and quiet with spectacular views
This property is ideally situated between the Davis Mountain State Park and the McDonald Observatory. It gives you the perfect home base to tour the observatory, attend a star gazing party and hike the numerous nearby trails. We all couldn't get over how dark and peaceful the valley was at night. In fact, we found ourselves whispering to each other while star gazing as to not disturb the blissful quiet. If you're looking for a the perfect Texas mountain this property is very hard to beat!
