"Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!"

"Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. "Enjoyed our two-night stay here quite a lot. The housekeeping staff was especially excellent. Really liked the shampoo and conditioner provided. Lovely setting on the hillside overlooking the lake. Would have wished only for better parking--it was pretty cramped. And the room had a somewhat odd smell to it. Overall, though, I liked it enough that I would come back."
