Spacious and well-appointed apartment in great location
The apartment was spacious, clean and well-appointed. Thoughtful touches abound, including complete documentation on all of the apartment's features and appliances along with recommendations for local dining, sightseeing and transportation. We really appreciated having efficient, separate washer and dryer given that our stay was in the middle of a three-week trip. Lucia is very communicative and was flexible in meeting us for check-in when our arrival was a bit delayed. If you plan to explore Florence, you won't likely find a more lovely apartment so close to everything. Highly recommend.

Great location
The apartment is in a great location. All the main attractions are within walking distance and it is close to the train making day trips outside of Florence easy.

Amazing place
Everything was exactly as describe but was so much more. The location was excellent! Both beds were very comfortable and the apartment had everything you needed. There were restaurant recommendations and lots of info in the apt which was very helpful. Grocery store around the corner plus tons of wonderful restaurants. Our host Patrizia was responsive prior to the trip and during the trip. Check in was easy - she met my daughter at 10pm! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Florence but would also like to keep it a secret for myself. It was such a wonderful place to stay! It was a mother /daughter weekend getaway!

Great stay in Florence
The flat was exactly as shown on VRBO. Very clean and updated. plenty of room and shower was great. The location is perfect, a short walk to all the sites and wonderful restaurants. Lucia was a fantastic host. She had everything ready to go and the check-in/out process was simple. Hopefully we are able to book this unit again when we return to Firenze.

Great location! Walk to everything
This apartment is wonderfully updated but has so much charm. It gets great light. Easy to find and close to the train station. The owner/ property manager was super helpful and flexible. She had put out rain ponchos for us bc it was supposed to rain. (It hardly rained!). She has tons of brochures and a great book full of info about how to use the washer/dryer and other appliances. We would stay here again. Perfect for a couple or a family with little kids who would stay on a fold out couch.

The Perfect Stay
My husband and I have been planning our trip to Italy for almost 2 years. Lucia's apartment is perfect. Very light, airy and clean. She met us and helped get us to the apartment from the train station which was just a 5 minute walk. The proximity to the Duomo, shops, restaurants, and all the other sites were all super close. I highly highly recommend this apartment! We stayed at two other places and Lucia's apartment was the cherry on the cake! Thank you for having us!!!

Great property!
The host was so helpful about the property and the city. She was in touch before the trip and during the trip to check on how our stay was. The location of the property is wonderful. Close to the train station, restaurants and other sites. It was so helpful to have a washer and dryer available to do laundry. The property was as described and there were no surprises. Just loved Florence!

Great apartment, great location!!
We spent 8 nights in Apartment Principio and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host Lucia was gracious and met us upon our arrival to show us around and offer any assistance. The location is ideal – less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station, and only two blocks from the Duomo. The apartment is ideally located to the Mercado Centrale as well as many wonderful restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. In fact, some of our best meals were in restaurants located near the apartment. The apartment is situated on a small quiet street, and the noise level was extremely low especially at night. Lucia thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable and pleasant, even having cold bottles of water in the refrigerator upon our arrival. The apartment itself is very updated and comfortable. The bathroom is updated and offers a spacious shower and sink area. The highlight for us was the in-suite washer/dryer. We were able to do laundry during our stay which was a great advantage to keeping our packing to a minimum. Lucia even provided the laundry detergent for guests! Overall, we would very highly recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting Florence. You can’t beat the location to Florence’s best attractions and train station, and Lucia was a great host.

Wonderful Apartment!
My best friend and I stayed here for several nights during an extended trip through Europe. This was our favorite stay during our entire trip! The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed and more. It was so helpful to be able to do laundry while we were there too. One of our favorite parts about this apartment was the guest book where previous guests left their own recommendations from their stay. Many of the things we did around Florence were recommendations from that guest book or from Lucia. Lucia was very responsive and proactive with communication. I already want to come back to Florence, just so I can stay at this apartment again! Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Fantastic apartment!
We stayed in this beautifully decorated, modern, and lovely apartment at the end of July 2023. We found the apartment very clean and in a very central location near the Duomo cathedral. Lucia was very helpful with anything we asked and was a perfect host. From the guest binder of information to the travel books provided in the room, we felt like we were valued as guests in our first stay in Florence. Loved the extra touches such as slippers, olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent. Many places make you buy your own when you arrive or often don’t provide enough for a family of four. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of four to move around and plenty of storage space. Thank you for a wonderful stay Lucia! We will definitely stay with you again and recommend to family and friends :)

Great location
Lucia was an amazing host. While she was not present when we arrived, she made sure there was someone there to greet us to give us instructions, etc. We had great communication with her and she always responded quickly. The suite has the basics needed for a 4 day stay and we enjoyed being able to do a few loads of laundry before the next leg of our trip. The unit, however, was not as bright or have the natural light in the rooms as the pictures appear. It didn't affect our stay though as we were always out during the day anyway. The location was perfect as it was close to everything - shops, restaurants and the main attractions - Duomo and the main square were just around the corner.

Perfect location
Lucia was the perfect host. Her apartment was just as described. From the moment I booked a few months before travel, Lucia reached out to see if we needed anything and was helpful with train info from Rome airport. My husband & I arrived to Florence by train from Rome. The apartment was a short walking distance (totally doable even with luggage) from the train station. Our daughter who was already in Florence met us and we saw the sites that afternoon. The location was perfect. Central to everything we wanted to do. The apartment was spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend and hope to make it back someday!

Spacious airy apartment
We loved the location and spaciousness of this apartment. It is within easy walking distance of all the major sites in Florence. Great restauants are nearby in every direction. There is a washer and dryer that we appreciated since we had just completed a 12 day hiking trip. The air conditioning was a plus.

Great central location close to Duomo.
Nice unit in a great central location close to everything. A few steps to the Duomo, 5 min to the train station, close to restaurants, piazzas, and grocery. The unit was clean and well appointed. I loved the shower and the water was hot. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer worked great. There was some street noise but it was a long weekend and that's to be expected with the central location. It never kept us from sleeping. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

First trip aboard Florence
We had a wonderful time in Florence. It is a beautiful city and very “user friendly “ for Americans . The apartment was PERFECT. The location is perfect to access the train station just a walk down the street. Very safe and quiet. It was clean and comfortable and the Lucia is very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Home away from home, in Florence.
The location of the apartment was extremely convenient. The unit was very spacious and clean. If we had any questions the property manager would reply almost immediately! I would definitely book this apartment again when I travel to Florence.

A lovely apartment in Florence
The apartment is nicely decorated, has a very comfortable bed, and a well-furnished kitchen. It is perfectly located a few blocks in-between the train station and the Duomo. Because it is down a side-street it is relatively quiet. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Florence. And Lucia, for a reasonable fee, put together a lovely basket of loaves of bread, jams, meat, cheese and wine for our arrival. She even included a beautiful flower arrangement to help celebrate my wife's birthday. You could spend a lot more money on your housing in Florence and not have nearly as pleasant a stay.

Excellent location and a wonderful hostess.
This property is a large apartment in an excellent location in the historical center of Florence. Although the owner did not live on site she or her husband were readily available at all times to answer questions and offer help. Indeed Lucia gave us lots of tips and offered to call a taxi for our departure. She also arranged for a personalized tour of the Uffizi and the Accademia, There was a wonderful restaurant at the cornet with very friendly staff and great food. This was only our second experience with VRBO and I was very pleased. I recommend this establishment without hesitation.

Great stay in Florence
This apartment is a fantastic place to stay when in Florence. It is a great location, very clean, bright and lots of room. It was nice to be able to come back to such a lovely place to relax after a long day. Having a washer/dryer is a big plus if you are traveling for several weeks.. Lucia is great to help in any way you might need. We highly recommend this property.

Conveniently located apartment in Florende
My husband and I loved staying in this beautiful and spacious apartment in Florence. It was within walking distance of all the museums we wanted to visit and there are some great restaurants nearby. Great location, great owner
Our family of 3 spent a week in Florence. Prior to our arrival Lucia was awesome at communicating with us and making recommendations for the day trips we wanted to plan. The apartment was beautiful, well appointed, and in close proximity (just a short walk) to the train station, restaurants, museums, shops, etc. Lucia has it stocked with pamphlets and books about Florence and nearby attractions for us to browse. Per Lucia's recommendation, we took a day tour of Tuscany with a driver (Luciano) and visited Sienna, a winery (for a tour, lunch and wine tasting), San Gimignano, and another winery that had a great view of San Gimignano from a distance. We really enjoyed the day, away from the crowd and a ton of walking in the city. I highly recommend this apartment.

Beautiful Condo
We had a great stay in this condo! It is very comfy and clean. We had everything we needed. It was really nice to have air conditioning and so nice to come back to a cool apartment after walking around the city all day. Also, this was a great location. It is very close to most everything you want to see. Lucia was a very gracious host and stayed in contact with us through the trip to make sure all was going well. She also provided a great book with lots of information and restaurant recommendations. This was great to have. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The apartment is located 7 minutes walk from everywhere. It’s so clean you feel you are the first one to use things. The bed is very comfortable and Lucia is wonderful and responsive. Nice, bright and clean
We enjoyed our stay in San Lorenzo. The apartment was very comfortable to stay in. The amenities were nice and the dishwasher and washer and dryer were a plus. The mornings are a bit loud on the street with metal doors being opened and trucks and carts going by. Earplugs or a fan would be a plus to help drown the noise out.

Comfortable apartment in an excellent location
Spacious apartment with comfortable bed. Bathroom is large with excellent shower. Washer plus dryer was a plus for us as we will be traveling for a bit. Lucia was helpful. Nice touches for travelers like USB charger on both sides of the bed and maps and tour books. We would have liked an additional comfy chair in the living room

Lucia was the best host! The apartment is clean and beautiful, the location is wonderful and if it’s your first time to Florence it’s very easy to find. We did not need any taxi or public transport as we walked over from the train station. Lucia gave us very easy to follow directions. We traveled with two kids that did not pass up on gelato, so needless to say the laundry came in very handy. Also, all the must see places are a very close easy walk. When I return to Florence I will stay there again!

Perfect in every way!
We had a perfect stay in Florence at Lucia and Walter's delightful apartment. It is every bit as good as the reviews and when they say "perfect location" - they mean it! We were visiting to attend a wedding at the St. Regis hotel on the river Arno just a 10 min. walk, and enjoyed the welcome dinner at Ciro & Sons (right on our corner!). It is tucked away on a quiet street so close to the Duomo, the train station, Mercado Centrale, museums, and piazza's, etc. Such a perfect home base for all of our adventures, and a nice spot to have other wedding friends by for a glass of wine! Lucia and Walter were also the most helpful and gracious hosts and have provided everything we could want. We never actually managed to meet up, but know from all the communications that they are fabulous! When we return to Firenze - we would definitely stay here again!

Lucia was very helpful and hospitable. The location is perfect. Near many of the important Florence sites, as well as accessible to train, bus, and taxi. The apartment is on a quiet street, as well as pretty, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful apartment, great location.
Apartment is lovely— very comfortable and around the corner from the Duomo. Proximity to train station and central market also a plus. Communication with Lucia was excellent.

This apartment was amazing , centrally located . You feel like you are in the heart of Florence.
Lucia was such a help . She secured dinner reservations before our arrival . She scheduled a walking tour and a wine tasting tour through the Tuscany countryside. She also scheduled a taxi for our early departure. We loved the washer : dryer option . We didn’t eat at the apartment unless it was tea & toast in the morning., but it was well equipped. I would definitely stay here again . Bridget

Large 1 bdrm flat near everything. Walk to all!
Comfortable 1 bdrm, one full bath, large flat. Perfect for 2. Close to all. Walk to train station. Dome is a 2 minute walk. Highly recommend this rental. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable

wonderful apartment a very convenient location
We stayed for three nights at this lovely apartment with the most welcoming of hosts. The location is perfect and we were able to walk to all the activities we planned in the city. We highly recommend it to couples who want a quiet pleasant apartment.

Spacious apartment in great location!
We enjoyed our stay in the San Lorenzo apartment in beautiful Florence. Lucia communicated well during booking and while we were in Florence (checking to see if all was well with apartment and informing us of the train strike).Her recommendations for restaurants are worth noting. She was very quick to return our deposit in full. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious!The washer and dryer was a big plus for us. The location was perfect! Located on a quiet street, yet, within walking distance of all sites, restaurants and train station. Highly recommended San Lorenzo!!!
