The Space:

The Morning Meadow X by Tiny Away is located in Flaxton, New Zealand. Just 25 minutes from Christchurch, our tiny house offers a peaceful, open surroundings, family-friendly features and country views.



Explore the Rangiora District best spots and activities like Silverstream Alpaca Stud Farm, Ohoka Farmers Market, Town Hall Cinemas, Glentui Bush and Waimakariri River Regional Park. You can also go and discover nearby towns like Kaiapoi and Rangiora.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.



Advisory:



- Please use the on-site recycling and compost bins.

- Please lock the tiny house before leaving and return the keys to the lockbox.

- Please avoid restricted and office areas, and do not enter animal paddocks unless supervised by the owner.

- When using the fire pit, keep the hose on and nearby, and fully extinguish the fire with water afterwards.



Pre-orders are all available with 24 hrs prior notice:



- Distilled bottled drinking water is available for $2.50 per bottle and can be replenished daily upon request.

The Morning Meadow X by Tiny Away is nestled in Flaxton, Waimakariri District, New Zealand. Situated between the towns of Rangiora and Kaiapoi, our tiny house offers a closer connection to nature and countryside life.



The surrounding area offers a mix of local experiences and natural attractions like interactive alpaca encounters at Silverstream Alpaca Stud Farm. Find fresh local produce at the Ohoka Farmers Market. Explore nearby townships such as Kaiapoi and Rangiora provide cafés, boutique shopping, and riverside walks, along with entertainment at the Town Hall Cinemas.



Glentui Bush offers a range of stunning nature walks, including loop tracks, waterfall trails, and scenic river paths. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Waimakariri River Regional Park offers scenic spaces for walking, hiking, and exploring the region’s natural river landscapes.



Getting Around:

By car:

- Christchurch - 25.00 to 30.00 minutes - 23.4 km

- Rangiora Town Centre - 6.00 minutes - 5.6 kms



By public transport:

- There is no train or bus unfortunately. Best option is Car, Taxi or Uber. At the end of Power Road, turn right into Lineside Road (be careful as its 100km area) and then drive 3 mintues to reach the edge of Rangiora Township.



Other Things to Note:

- A gas BBQ grill is available on request and is located in the outdoor kitchen area.

- Wifi is available

- No pets are allowed on the property

- Strictly no smoking allowed on the property

- All mobile networks have good signal.

- Given the rural setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION

- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors, and put the key back when leaving

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- Please do not enter the restricted areas marked ‘Do Not Enter”



Important note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property. Children are welcome under close adult supervision, including a safety guide sent prior to booking.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
