"The hotel is so clean with beautiful view on the grand canal in the middle of the shopping areas and just 2 minutes walk from the main train station and walking distance from everything and like 25 minutes walk from the St. Marko (the main plaze). "We had a great stay and would definitely return. The staff was excellent - very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh and hot options. Our room had some age to it, but it was well kept and very clean - and if we wanted brand-new we wouldn't be staying in old Venice. Access to everything interesting in San Marco was steps away. Overall we were very happy with the Hotel Montecarlo and consider it a great value."
