  • Atmospheric Swiss Chalet. Just renovated Chalet Valais located in Fiesch, Valais. Are you looking for a cozy chalet in a child-friendly (ski) area. Then get to know Aletsch Arena, more than 104 km of slopes. It is one of the most spectacular areas of Europe in terms of landscape and has been on the Unesco World Heritage List since 2001. Everything here breathes pure nature, with a large number (almost four thousand) as a piece of information that overlooks the whole. The snow-secure area includes Fiescheralp, Bettmeralp and Riederalp a typical all-round hiking, skiing and cross-country skiing destination. Also the Goms known for the beautiful cross-country trails is literally around the corner.
    But also in the summer you can make beautiful walks here and you can go mountain biking, paragliding and climbing.
    Lightning fast WiFi in the house! Fiesch is a cozy village with the largest glacier of Switzerland the Aletsch Glacier. There are various shops, a pharmacy, general practitioners and dentists in the village. There is an indoor pool and a sports and Wellnes Center. Of course there are several restaurants in the village and its surroundings.

schön, aber gäbe mit wenig Aufwand einiges zu Verbessern

Ok. Google fand die angegebene Adresse nicht, wir mussten Fragen. Angaben verbessern? Sauberkeit: Die Flächen die man sieht wurden gereinigt. Unter den Möbeln und in Schränken aber sieht es leider ganz anderst aus. In der Duschkabine hat es Schimmel. Die Lampe in der Stube war schon gebrochen und liegt da, beleuchtet den Boden. Nachttisch Lampe geht nicht, Birne fehlt, leider ein marktunübliches Modell welches man vor Ort kaufen könnte. Licht oberhalb vom Kochherd geht nicht, d.h. du hast kaum Sicht in die Pfanne. Das Scharnier des Gewürzkästchens ist ausgerissen, schlecht zum Bedienen. Eigentlich ist die Ausstattung der Küche gut. Aber dass im Wallis Fondue und Raclette Rechaud fehlen finde ich mangelhaft. Es hat eine Fleisch Fondue Garnitur?! In den Schlafzimmern wären neue Kissen notwendig, ausmisten, ausräumen und putzen der Schränke, sowie Justieren der Kommoden Türchen damit diese einfach geöffnet werden können. Mit wenig Aufwand wäre da viel mehr möglich, schade.

Eine runde Sache

Für uns hat einfach alles gepasst! Wir waren zum skifahren dort. Der Weg zur Gondel war kurz und unsere Unterkunft war gemütlich eingerichtet. Der morgendliche wettercheck vom Balkon war einfach fabelhaft. Der Ausblick auf die Berge war fantastisch.

Fabulous setting, lovely chalet

Fiesch is a great place to base yourself and the chalet is a good size and well equipped. I have just marked it down because it's a real slog to get up to the chalet. I wouldn't recommend if you are not reasonably fit unless you have a car. The place was pretty clean and any problems with the lock on the front door previously mentioned have been sorted. But there were a few issues that stopped it being 5*. The shower drain was blocked and quickly filled up. You have to put your own bedding on and the coverlets underneath weren't very clean.

Herrlich gesagt ist das Haus sehr schön und gemütlich, aber klein, vor allem Küche

Was uns nicht so gut gefallen ist, Die Haustüre Schlüssel klemmt total, wir konnten manchmal grosse mühe mir aufmachen und ebenso abschliessen, das ist schade und als wir in die Wohnung kamen, waren auch etwas kalt, wir frierten.. Und Raclette und Fondue Geschirr keine da, das ists Chade, den es ist Wallis.... ok. Wir kommen nächste Jahr vielleicht gerne wieder...

Herzig eingerichtet aber nicht sauber

Empfangen wurden wir leider nicht. Es ist alles sehr unpersönlich. Das Chalet hat uns gefallen und ist zweckmässig eingerichtet, aber überhaupt nicht sauber! Der Dampfabzug war fettig und unzählige kleine Fliegen klebten daran. Die Bett- und Frottierwäsche roch sehr speziell und muffig. Die Wäsche sollte mal mit Kochwäsche gewaschen werden. Ein Kleiderschrank stinkt so dermassen, dass er nicht gebraucht werden kann. Zu Fuss ist das Chalet gut über einen steilen Wanderweg vom Zentrum her erreichbar. Viele Spielsachen (Outdoor und Indoor) für die Kinder sind vorhanden.

Hübsch, aber nicht so sauber

Das Häuschen ist gross genug für eine 4-köpfige Familie. Die Küche ist sehr klein, reicht aber aus um einfache Menüs zu kochen. Geschirr hat es mehr als genug, dieses war bei unser Ankunft vom Vormieter nicht so sauber hinterlassen worden. Die frischen Geschirrtücher haben nach Benzin gerochen, sie wurden aber anstandslos ausgetauscht. Die Einrichtung ist im Grossen und Ganzen nett. Das Haus hat einen grossen Keller, welchen wir nicht gross benutzt haben. Die Distanz zur Gondelbahn ist zu Fuss machbar, bergauf ~15 Minuten, vor allem, wenn man die Skier auf der Fiescheralp lassen kann.
